that tub has already had an extensive amount of work done to it.
Yes it's does I will address that in the next few weeks once I have 220 hooked up in my shop for my welder.

Picked up the tub and most of the body today. Needless to say I've got plenty of body work ahead of me. I finally got 220 in my shop so I'm in the process of getting my welding stuff set up. The plan is to build some sort of rotisserie for the tub to bolt to so I can work on it easier. What are most people using as gauge for patch panels? I feel like I read 16 gauge is about right some where. Can anybody confirm? I'm also going to take a stab at zinc plating a few parts then finish them with a chromate to give the cad plating look.
I found this video quite helpful about to zinc plate.
More to come tomorrow.

Looks about like swizz cheese doesn't it

I'm not really sure how I should treat my frame. At first was thinking just slap some por15 on it and call it good but started looking in to powder coat and galvanizing. Really more interested in galvanizing so if you've got some experience with it please chime in and share your thoughts about it compared to the other methods.

If your plans are to leave the tub as-is and drive the piss out of it, I say rattle can some rust bullet on the frame. If you are going to make the tub fancier then parhaps spend more time/money on the frame coating. Here is a recent thread a couple mudders mention galvenizing on Page 2. Paint, POR-15, or Powder Coat
