This would be a great project for Aidan and me... but i think dark green would be a better choice for me.

Don't much like the 80 series steering setup or the radius arms, so thats something we'd probably change. Plenty of time to decide while I'm saving my pennies... and looking for a suitable 100.

Link woody! Are there any linked 60's on the east coast at all?

I'd rather have a one of the only SAS 100s in the country haha

That's the White Rhino. It lives down here in Houston. I know the owner and have seen that thing wheeling. Beast. With one caveat, it is so unique that if something fails you may have a hard time with trail repair.

Would I drive it? Heck yes I would.

But this thread is about your 62... What's new on that lol? How are the road manners with those wheels and tires?

Road manners?! I want to see some 5 psi wheeling pics!!

Also is it time to turn Rusty into a buggy yet?

looks like its all ford, 80, and a few 100 parts. (Id like to ditch the ford and 100 parts completely in place of custom 9.5" housings)

But yeah, wheels still aren't balanced, but ride as well as the balanced steelies on the highway, so thats weird, but i can't complain.

Rusty's a gonner.

drove a 105 in Iraq. Hands down one of the most capable vehicles.

All the reasoning i need! (besides its awesome uniqueness)

@robustbambi Looks like it is a custom housing utilizing LC parts and a True-Hi9 Differential.

Funny on the wheels and tires. How are you going to balance them?

Yeah I'd just use land cruiser diffs, a ruff stuff housing, 80 knuckle balls and hellfire knuckles to get rid of the stock 80 steering arms.

When I get them balanced, it'll just be the normal weights clipped onto the backs.

No I've already decided against dynabeads. I'm just gonna use normal weights.

At the very least use the stick-on weights that go on the inside of the wheel. Your external weights will be torn off.

I hate external weights. They look dumb, they leave rust behind, and they can be torn off. I have a static balance on my alloys with MT's and they seem to be doing just fine after 10k miles. Dynamic balancing is better, but it wouldn't work with my alloys anyway. Nothing to clip to on the face of the wheel.

I bought a new rear bumper kit from 4x4labs. Nothing against Jason's at all, it's fantastic! No wobbles, stout as hell, does everything a rear bumper needs to haha. But I'm bored and haven't welded anything in a while, and I "feel like" I got to contribute a few ideas to Luke's redesigned 60 series rear so what the heck.

Are you joking

When are you swapping to h55f?
