And by that i mean my current set of 37" MTRs...

I will buy your MTRs if you are looking to upgrade:grinpimp:

Why not run super hardcore off-road tires on the bead locks, sell the MTRs and get some ATs on the steelies for daily?

I just thought about your setup with 39" krawlers... It would rock.

Agreed. This is what I want to do.

If you go that route, make sure you get 37" ATs... 35s on a SOA are like Shaq wearing a size 12.

Im always looking to upgrade haha, but id need to re gear on top of the already huge price tag of the 39 KXs..
Ill probably wait til the KM3s to come out (supposedly 2017) before i get different tires.

That would be nice but wouldn't really make sense for the amount of wheeling I'm able to a year. Besides whats the point of spending all that money on a DOT compliant headlock if you aint gonna use it on the street! Id also be made fun of by all the haterz for having like $5000 worth of giant off road wheels/tires and wheeling them like 3x a year lol

Don't worry, 37s are the minimum size tire Woody will be rolling on for the rest of his life! But for ATs the MT/Rs I've got now are great, also been reading many good things about the BFG KO2s.

oh god yes... they've arrived. Still waiting on a couple to be manufactured but thats fine, Im not overly excited about actually having to put the wheels on after watching @The Phoenician's double beadlock wheel changing experience lol. But I cannot begin to express how freaking pumped i am for these :)

First thoughts after seeing and feeling them:

1. Not as heavy as i thought (ill still probably order a new brake booster to go with all my other new brake parts)
2. The quality is unmatched and they're gorgeous
3. Aidan's SUPER jealous
4. Avoid picking them up by just the outer lip because the bottom half WILL fall off, dent the floor, and your mother WILL yell at you a lot.
5. They're gonna work really well!

Most importantly though...

When they all arrive, the swap shall follow... Now I'm gonna go look at them some more now.

Those are going to look awesome! Super jealous.

Bambi, do it once and do it right, don't be the idiot I was. Just make sure to deflate everything before taking it apart. Otherwise it's bad news. They look great. Cant wait to see them on woody.

Did they come with a rubber O ring? Curious to see how they hold air if they didn't.

Just ran across this thread....was reading along the first couple pages not noticing the dates or the fact that there was over 60 pages! When I did notice I immediately found the first picture and compared it to the most recent. MAN....did you fall hard!! But hey....it looks great!!

haha yep, thats what it says on the outer lip, i bet its a pretty spectacular event if the tires aren't deflated first and the wheel face blows off lol.

And yes theres a rubber o ring. Theres a notched ring right where the powder coat ends on the inside of the wheel face (3rd to last picture).

Hahaha oh yes, still falling too... Thanks a bunch for looking, Bud!

Yesterday i was bored so i had the spare taken off one of the fj steelies and got to work putting it on the new rim.

So starting with this

First I put the large rubber center piece inside the tire. Then soaped up the bead and slipped the back half of the wheel into the back side of the tire, making sure to line up the small "air notch" with where the valve stem will go.

("air notch" located at about 11:30 on rubber center piece)

Then I lubed up the white rubber O-ring and stuck it into the groove on the back of the wheel face...

...and stuck it in place using the 3 longer studs as guides, also making sure to line up the valve stem with the "air notch".

I had to stomp on it to get the wheel face down far enough to get the nuts started threading onto the 3 longer studs.

Make sure to check that the O-ring stays in place while tightening down the 3 nuts. I used a bunch of silicone grease to ensure that it didn't leave its little groove.

Once you get all 3 nuts tightened down and you've seated both beads... thats when your days at home alone in middle school come in handy. Lock tite the studs and start tightening each nut down in a start pattern. When finished, go back over each stud torquing each nut to 100lbs. Then after you're done admiring how veiny your arm is, wheel that thing over and air it up!

After you get to your desired pressure (i like 30PSI), and you've LIKED "GEORGIA CRUISERS" ON FACEBOOK (https://www.facebook.com/georgia.cruisers?fref=ts&ref=br_tf), get out the soapy water and start looking for those air leaks.
Check the front...

...Check the back, and check where the 2 pieces meet together to ensure the O-ring hasn't shifted around (cuz those O-rings are like $20 a pop).

If you don't see and little bubbles anywhere, throw that tire up on the back of your truck like the poser you are and take some pictures!!!

Over the next couple days, ill watch to make sure i don't have any slow leaks and it stays at 30PSI. Then when the rest get here, ill have them all balanced.

Looks so sick! That color goes great with Woody.
