I will trade you my 35s for your 37s.... Lol. Looks great Patrick, I bet you are loving it. If your ever in Tejas or vice versa we should hit the trails!

Off-camber stuff takes some getting used to in a SOA rig, but it's not bad. The best fix for this is to go much wider. Get some spacers and stick those wheeling tires out from the fenders. Helps immensely.

And to think I used to believe it was pretty wide haha. Id definitely like to be wider though, one tons would be freaking sweet, but probably overkill for the kinds of trails id like to run with Woody... definitely doesn't mean I'm not gonna do it though ;)
Even started doing a little research on your front fender trim (id probably practice my cut on Rusty or my busted passenger fender) so that won't rub when i get to lowering!

I hear ya.. I went to 3 shops and no one would mount my 345s (13.2" wide) on the 8.5" D's of mine... I just went to a buddies and mounted my own.. (much faster than any shop around here I might add.) ;)

THIS^^ I love how Goss handles with the wider tires and spacers.. I'm SUA, but I'm up there, and it helped a ton..

J

Yeah I figured that kind of tire stuff had to do with liability and shiz, buddy shops are definitely the place to be haha.

Yup, I haven't wheeled I'm a while, but when I do go, I use the spacers and creepy crawlers. Gives me a few inches on each side. Looks ridiculous, but feels stable

Yeah id take stability over looks when wheeling haha, not gonna look to cool after ya flop lol!

Thanks McGuire :) And another thanks for the incite on the cut and turn angles! I am loving it too much, driving ALOT, and spending a bit too much on gas haahah... But yeah, if your ever in the our neighboring states (since Ga wheeling parks are pretty boring), definitely hit me up! And ill do the same if i ever get to Texas. Maybe ill be able to make that event at Katemcy next year!

Another fun day working on trucks with other GA Cruiser members :)
A few of the trucks showing 20 years of Toyota. 1973-1993.

Also had a little backyard RTI ramp setup to test out the flex haha. It sure was fun.. and scary!

That face :D

Nothing contacted anything else and there was no rubbing anywhere so thats good. Aidan said i could probably lower the rear 1"-1.5" and still keep from rubbing.

i was stuck in the Dunwoody area for about a month and a half this spring, i could have SWORN i saw your 60 rolling around. if it was in fact you it looked great
Cool! Yeah theres not too many lifted wood grained 62s around here, so it was probably me.

Looks....tippy.

But AWESOME.

Thanks.

Really fun watching Woody transform into its current form. Bad ass thread man!

Thanks Farz, Looks like your skipping right to the good part with your build haha

Yeaaaaah buddy! A lot of black boogers and burning through cutting disks!

P, Wear a bandana or a dust mask until you learn good head to torch position... Zip discs = black talcum powder.. Crap gets in and on everything...

I taught a young man how to weld years ago and I swear the first few days, I thought he worked at a coal mine... Trust me, it'll help you in the long run..

Lol!! I'm tired and didn't notice how ridiculously cryptic my post read Hahahaha. Thanks for the laugh.
The things originate from WagonGear lol.

Where are the pics P? You back from the GA Expo? YES?

J

Yes I'm back haha, unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how ya look at it) everyone was too busy driving to get ANY action shots haha. It wasn't anything too terribly exciting though driving wise, one really tight "non-minivan" trail, but mainly gravel roads and a couple stream crossings. It was a great time hanging out with the club none the less!

One member did get this when we were regrouping at a small gas station.

There were a few other trucks there, a 40, tundra, older mini truck, and that white 80.

Since Ted let me drive his crawler last trip at Durhamtown, i felt i owed him a turn in the driver seat of Woody and I'm pleased to say that he was impressed with the drivability of my truck on and off road, yeah it was still pretty slow on the mountain roads haha, but with the 4.88s and 37s, it feels about the same as when it had 4.11s and 33s. so I'm definitely not complaining :D

The most excitement came when the day ended and I dropped Aidan back off at his 80. He got in and turned the key and all it did was try to start, just like it did a few months ago in the middle of the night... That was really really funny. After pretending to not care and leave his ass stranded, we checked the EFI fuse (Thats what ACC discovered it to be the first time). Only this time, it kept blowing the 15 amp fuse when you turned the key, so we just went ahead and stuck a 40 amp fu... No no, just kidding lol... We did a little mud searching and discovered people having similar problems when their O2 sensor wiring harness was shorting out on something. We look at the sensor and sure enough, found some exposed O2 sensor wires being worn away by the front driveshaft (Fulltime 4WD problems lol). Good thing we were already in a Home Depot parking lot, (where he parked for the day while riding with me) we ran inside got some butt splices, electrical tape, and a lighter. 5 minutes later, its fixed and were on our way!

And The WagonGear stuff has been paid for so hopefully that was sent out late last week and should be on its way :) Cant wait to start cutting the tail gate, side panels, and finally have a home for the ARB compressor!

Yeah Mark's a few inches taller than Aidan, probably 6'5". Makes us all look like children haha.
