I havent driven it yet so i can't comment on flatness in the steering, but I'm hopeful that the steering ram will keep that to a minimum.

I hope its a wash and you can just CRUISE ON!

I do like the stance.. Wonder with my MODDED SUA, if I SOA.. how tall I'd be... YIKES!

Ive just got all this crap to do:
1. Finish routing the Willwood proportioning valve/LSPV bypass
2. Weld on the shock towers and move rear shock mounts inward
3. Measure for new driveshafts
4. Bleed new MC and brakes
5. Fill/bleed power steering/hydro assist
6. Fill up the diffs
7. Modify the front axle brake line brackets
8. Pretty up that front sway bar
9. And now, after doing some mud research and talking with Michael at ACC, I figured out i should probably go ahead and replace the seal between the transmission and the Transfercase! I had a bunch of ATF come pouring out the companion flanges on the Tcase, so its probably a good time to just go ahead and dig in :)

Ill probably be totally finished by Friday at the latest :)

And yeah, Goss would probably be up there with this guy I saw yesterday!

(Like 12" lift blocks and NO REAR SPRINGS... i couldn't believe it, Ive never seen no rear springs before lol)

WOW! I think if I went SOA right now 40s would look SMALL HA!

ITS FRIDAY... ARE YA DONE??

J

lol 40s would be tiny, gotta get some Rockwells and 53s! And fine, ill be done by THURSDAY hahaha!

Looks great! You will be happy with the 5.5 castor angle.

You should look in to the FROR tacoma front brake kit. It uses IFS hubs which would let you get rid of the wheel spacers.

Since you have 17" wheels you could run the big brakes from the 4runner sport/ GX470 using that kit (338mm rotors...)

Solid advice right there ^

Lookin good man!
Thanks Ty, yours is too.

WTF P, Where are the off-camber, almost rolled over pics??? Hurry, I need sustenance................. :hillbilly:

You'll just have to wait until until the 4th! GA cruisers has a little trip up north planned August 1-3. Im not seeing many reasons why i won't be able to make this my first test run!

:D Keep it up!
I can't stop! WAAAAY too much fun hahah.

Im planning on it, can't wait to get in and drive it for the first time.

Not really planning on upgrading brakes ever. Ive already got 4 discs and I'm about to add a new 80 series master cylinder in a day or two. If the wheels are already locking up, i don't see a reason to add bigger brakes. Besides I'm planning on double beadlocks a little ways down the road, and for how much they are going to cost, id best be able to get them in a 2.5"-3.5" BS, eliminating the need for spacers. Thanks for the info though.

Bambi if you get the beadlocks in 2.5 backspacing then you will still need the spacers up front. Mine are 2.5 in BS and line up perfectly with the wider 80 axle in the rear. You won't need to up grade brake hardware once you add the 80 master cylinder, my tires weigh about 140LBS each and they stop fine.

Yep... Mike, im a dumbass lol. Keep forgetting that i don't have them on the rear as well.

Yesterday i swapped that pesky Trans/Tcase seal because of all the ATF that was in the split case. Found a ton of ATF from the transmission inside, so i was told it would probably be a good thing to replace. I thought that that was a good idea since i figured nobody had been inside that thing since it was new, but i found evidence that that was not the case...

Those welds sure don't look factory to me lol.

Took out all that useless junk.

Didn't know I was about to burst a dam, so i made a small mess.. Yeah, I did it twice... And i ruined my freaking boots. DONT WEAR DANNERS WHILE WORKING ON CARS!!!!!

While trying to remove the "homemade" McNamera gear, the welds broke...

I knew there was an actual McNamera gear on Rusty, so i decided to dig inside there to get it out (i.e. second dam burst). Only when i got inside, there was NO Mcnamera gear lol... wonder where it went... Whatever, swapped the gears anyway.

The A440 output shaft was showing signs of wear, perhaps i will take a page out of @beno's book and swap in an H55 + brand new split case... that setup would look sexy as hell and last for-e-ver!

After finishing that, we pulled woody up the hill with the 80 and got it position next to the garage so we could weld on the shock towers and the brake line brackets.
I think they came out pretty well!

I don't really have any poser shots of the entire truck, they would've been good to get before parking in front of the garage but whatever! YALL GET TO WAIT, HA!

..but i do have these partials lol

Tomorrow i don't think ill get much work done on the truck, gotta return some tools to ACC, then drop off the driveshafts to be lengthened finally. But Wednesday, ill be back.

Thank You!
