It was hot at humid AF. Found my motivation. I would tuck it up ahead a few plants and work my way to it

Some knuckle head brought these. For those that don’t know, Malort is a Chicago thing (drink). The best way I can describe it is liquid Chernobyl. Stuff is nasty.

Went to Omaha and met Dave Sunday - he got this cruiser a few months ago. The timing was sooo whacked. Set the timing and did the carb and runs so much better.

No problem - it is what we do, lend a hand -

And glad to see you online now - there will be some Cruiser runs this fall - Loess Hills etc - @Plains Cruiser is an instigator for things like that. Will be sure to rope you in.

When you went through replacing the gas tank and associated parts did you have to replace this foam tape material on the fuel separator and fuel tank inspection covers? Looks like it’s there to prevent rattling. Trying to see if anybody has replaced it with similar stuff as mine was pretty shot.

I didn't but I think that will be in my future for sure when I do more interior work. I will most likely be like you and seek out suitable material.

You wrap the chain around the bottom of tree or post you want to pull, then over the tire that is next to the tree or post, changing horizontal movement - your tug- to vertical movement - the tree coming up, as the tire rolls with your tug.

Also known as the dead farmer approach. 🤣

Well - Ian (@RevISK) and Alan (@Land Shark) are showing off their care packages from @orangefj45 on their threads - mine is below...

It will be a while now before anything happens - work is detailing me out in Georg's part of the country come Monday for several months. Fair warning Georg, stopping by your shop is on my to-do.

That doesn’t look original. Mine was one piece and black. I replaced it with some 3/4” by 1/8” black weatherstrip. I had it on hand already because I used it for the shift plate cover on the transmission hump.

It was in the Paridise CA fire.

The last sentence in the bio is why it is my favorite…
