Well, that’s annoying AF. Sorry dude.
There are way worse things in life. And... hear me out... kind of honored they thought Yellr was worth looting.

Edit: I am not trying to get sympathy. I think I got them from 4-Plus - I am only bummed that it doesn't look like he has them anymore - anything I get would be asymmetrical, or I buy 2. No that mindset is a "worse thing"

Back in the mid 1970’s in northern Vermont, we left keys in the car ignition switch, never locked the house door and enjoyed a great safe environment.

ON THE OTHER HAND, and this is no lie… my old girlfriend shows up one day to try and reconcile. She see’s that I now have a new girlfriend ( now my wife of nearly 50 years) living with me. WTF the doors are unlocked and we’re not home so she comes in, finds my new girlfriends clothes in the closet and ties them up in knots. She throws them all on the floor and almost ransacks the house.

What a sight… we laugh about (at least I do) these days but…nowadays we have locks, alarms, cameras, gps locators, air tags and monitoring services. Things have changed for certain.

By the way, sorry. Luckily it was only a d-ring
It was that way not too long ago when we/I live in Quechee VT. Left keys in so people could move car if in the way. Was great to raise my little knuckleheads in that environment.

We lived in Montgomery and Fairfax.

I have a friend X-Seal. His rig broke down on the side of road one to many times. He left a partial gas can with a book of matches on it next to the rig. A few day later he got some to help tow it home. Nothing missing and the gas can was full.

The only time I take the keys out of the ignition is when I unlock the gas cap. What it now 90% of the people can't drive a manual.

40's are good for beginners. sooo much flywheel and tq at idle. teach the adding foot feed after they find the clutch friction point.

my mom taught us to drive stick in a 69 vw beetle. there was a cemetery not too far from home that we drove in. she also taught me how to double-clutch and heel and toe. taught me a lot of other bad habits too... but we're not doing that today.

good luck isaac.

Made it to Deadwood. Exhausted- at times seemed white knuckle driving.

Took the Sandhills route. Very pretty. But better in person vs phone camera.

Here are some ok shots along the way
The visibility at times. Shot into field to see - maybe 60 feet

And more Sandhills stretch

Lots of coal trains from WY

Here is the driver mirror. It would get jacked from the Abby Normal driving conditions never had any issues with it prior. It is stout to move the angle of it.
