@sogncab said I am running rich on the trails and thus my ass stinks. I was so into talking with people first morning, I didn't adjust timing or idle - suffered some going up the first climb and quickly set the timing and idle so I would wheel better at first break.
Tonight took the time to undo the Black Hills adjustment and get back to the prairie settings... final setting is 8 degrees and 800 rpm (1980 spec rpm).
And I also realized I did that last two lean-drops kinda wrong. I was taught by friend in KC with the engine build to do the final rpm set with the air/fuel mixture, not idle screw. (adjust air/fuel to max rpm, idle drop to 850, repeat until air/fuel has no impact - back rpm down to 800 via air/fuel)
Before I started the lean drop tonight, counted 6 full turns of air/fuel mixture - backed out 2, then did lean drop. I am under 4 full revolutions now vs 6. 18 HG of vac too.
Then clean some of the dust/grim off - looks worse now - need to spend big time just cleaning. But going to be the 'pro' in procrastination with that.
