I chose to use a brass marine fuel switch for the simplicity... 2 on positions, 2 off positions... always know where it is.

I'd look into issues with some electric valves to see if they could between positions. Just shooting from the hip since I chose a different path.

I'm sure it's a heat issue - I'll test it all out and wrap the brass T.

If it's the Pollak, I may go your route, for the simplicity.

I don't intend to get to it for a while - since, I can't drive in this heat anyway - and we are preparing to take a trip with the Tundra and trailer.

Thanks John!!

No worries, hope you get it figured out.

Pronghorns? - WAY too fast for an old man to photograph - by the time I point and click, they are far away - they ran like gazelles!! It was great to see them run across the desert - 0-60 in a blink of an eye!!

Old scarred inquisitive mule deer? I'm no hunter...this is a mule deer - right?

Here you go Mule deer....real big ears, white rump, much larger than an American Pronghorn.

Thanks!

So, what's in my picture? Just a deer deer? It has a head like a mule or horse (from the side) and real long, narrow ears.

Yep, pronghorn antelope, probably a doe.

I went out to the garage and unloaded 44 and cleaned the dirt out of the inside.

Then, I started her up and had 4 psi fuel pressure, from both pumps, and she ran fine... Since I've ran everything, except the fuel pressure sender, in similar conditions, with no problems, SINCE I wrapped my fuel feed line (to the carb), I'm reasonably sure you are spot-on, John... It's very likely the brass T that I failed to wrap, causing vapor lock.

I'll confirm it later... But, wanted to thank you again!!

I left Germany on short notice and am back in hot dusty places doing fun, yet sketchy things. Sold my 80 and am about 6 months out from getting another rig.

Enjoy your fun!!

Edit: Sorry, Drew - Dianna asked for me to lifeguard her, for her swimming.

Are you still with the same employer you were with in GE?

I hope you're still maintaining your trim figger... as I am.

I'm glad people like to explore, vicariously, through my adventures... its good to be able to have others enjoy them as well as I do!!

Be safe, my friend!!

Actually, I've been lent to the Italians.

I've lost ten pounds, but not by choice.

I've learned that I don't social media well. I'll come back to check on a few threads, but I really don't have the impulse control to contribute much.

But all of this is off topic. Sorry.

Not much different...

Be safe!!

We didn't really eat it, Nolen. But, I did say some choice words over it.

Here's the remainder of my mirror.

Here's my new mirror.

I can't drive without side mirrors...

So, I pulled the mirror off of a telescoping mechanics mirror and put silicone on its back and taped it on, with some air conditioning condenesation line tape... it sticks good.

That little mirror allowed me to know everytime somebody tried to run over us, on the trip home.

Man, he did a number on that mirror. Glad it wasn't your windshield Danny, btw love the pictures.

Out with Chester... we're having a great time. Camped at 7200', along a pleasantly noisy little creek, under a stand of Aspen.

We've been hiking the area all week and haven't seen a single person, until we drove down to check in with Dianna.

The cell signal is too weak to upload pictures. I'll post pictures when we return to the hell that is currently Las Vegas.

We just visited with a cowboy and an Indian... working side-by-side, looking for strays. There's apparently still a chance for peace... at least in the center of Nevada.

That thought was unsolicited... it just came to me.. just before a large kamakazi raven dive bombed my drivers side mirror and blew shards of mirror in the window.

Luckily, I was wearing a Duluth Fire Hose Jacket and it saved my arm.

More importantly, according to Chester, I was also wearing my Duluth No-Stink Undies...

That raven would have had 7 years of bad luck, to look forward to, if the impact hadn't killed him.

Well, we gotta get back to camp... there's eatin' to do.

Having a mirror smashed like that can sure be startling.

I once had one shattered on my BMW motorcycle by a chunk of firewood on the highway. Between the Acheribis handguard and the stock mirror it was slowed down enough that it didn't do any serious harm when it hit my leather jacket... otherwise it could've buggered my shoulder or taken me off the bike at 55 mph.

I know the feeling and glad you're also only having to replace a mirror.
