Just beautiful mate

I finally completed the dash wiring and got to see the new instrument cluster illuminated.

Epic, as usual!

Thanks @cult45 ! I particularly like the reflection of the instrument cluster on the new column cover.

top notch stuff @76 FJ40, am enjoying every one of your updates. whats next on the list?

one day i'll rob the bank and get a well fitted out shed and start something similar. not sure i could get it looking anything like yours though.

@Indestructible 47 thank you for the kind words of encouragement. I need to take care if a few little things under the dash on the passenger side. Then I can start the AC installation. Once I get the AC unit mounted under the dash and the lines run through the firewall I can install the fuel tank and seats. Hopefully the seatbelts will be done soon.

I figured out awhile back I could have a nice detached garage or I could build my 45. But I couldn't afford to do both. So I'm crammed into my attach 2 car garage with barely enough room to work. A fellas got have to priorities ya know!? ;)

So I may or may not have spent too much time on these bezels today.

I also made a bracket to mount the programming buttons for DD on.

Fantastic mate nice work

Wow! You are getting close and that 45 looks amazing. Very nice work!

Thanks Mark! It's not close enough yet. I'm jonesin' pretty bad to be back in the saddle!!!

I'm always trying to find ways to increase the workspace in my small two car garage as well. All the people with small garages need to create a thread with tips and tricks they used to maximize space.
The size of your garage makes what you created that much more impressive. There are 10 thousand square foot warehouses south of the equator trying to do what you do.
Ac..your going to be living comfortable when your done.
Coming along great

76,

Those switch bezels turned out great !

Any tips you can share for those of us with corroded aluminum bezels?

Sorry Bear mine were dirty/tarnished. I used toothpaste to polish them. You might try to acquire some that haven't corroded yet. With all of the cables that fail there should be plenty of decent bezels available.

I slipped out to the garage right after work and got these done before my honey got home.
