nice slider design. I like the way you cut out the rocker to incorporate the tube. Madkes for a nice clean , flat surface. Well done. Put them kids to work! Great lookin family too.

cheers!!

I did it that way so I cold remove them . They are bolted to the other tube work ,to the frame and the body. So I could replace them when they got damaged.

Her are a few more pics. New drive shafts and some Poser flex shots so I could get measurements and order some shocks.

looks good

I like the cage, looks good all round have you had it out yet? time for some action photos! wish I had that cherry picker around here!

The engine pull is in my near future

Maiden voyage completed. Only minor issues.
I had a bad fan clutch. changed on the side of the road.
Blew a ps line to the ram . Fixed within 20 min. Love reusable ends.
Battery term loose. Real easy fix.
And heading home I lost the Idler pulley and then the serp belt. So on the wrecker home she went.

All in all I am verry happy with the build. Now it is time to take it apart and install the toybox and splitcase I purchased this weekend.

the drive shaft in the rear is on upside down

?????????????????

It is a dual carden at the t/c and a single at the rotated diff.
Besides if it is upside down I will turn it over many many times when I drive it. Many many times.

I am thinking about buying a 69 FJ40 to restore but I am at a loss to find what is "correct" for the body and year. Should the hard top top be white or black? Should the grill be white, black or chrome? I am no where near to thinking to "concourse" it but want it to be historically correct. If anyone can point me in the right direction to look............? Thanks a million!!!

And some better tires!
What parts did you need for the On board air system? I've got a york compressor NIB from a 70's ford I've thought about using but I think it needs a pulley and clutch.

I used a york off a older Volvo. Made a custom pulley for it. If I would of had the coin I would have gotten serp clutch for it. Would have been alot easier.
I used an old manifold off a kobalt compressor for the check valve, psi switch and over psi blow off. Recently I added a viair to the mix to maintain psi for my yukon zip lockers.
