So, In what was quit frankly the deal of a lifetime, I got 4 mudflaps in what looked to be decent condition. When i got them they turned out to be in practically new condition. As you can see in the pictures below there is hardly any rust on the metal supports, no cracks in rubber, and the white paint on the Land Cruiser lettering is all practically there. Honestly all they would need is a good cleaning and they would be show room new.

My FJ62 is my daily driver, and quite frankly im a little wary about putting them on. These really are too nice for how i use my Cruiser, if i put them on they would get pretty beat up over time.

This is where i need your guys advice, should i keep them and put them on my rig? Or should i sell them for someone who is restoring their rig? I personally think they are in great condition but i may be wrong, i just haven't come across a lot of mudflaps to know if these are as good as i think they are. So what do you guys think?

Edit: Please pay no mind to my s***ty carpet, my apartment has gotten way to messy.

Wow - they look great and i would greatly desire them for my restoration if I had not already bought some. I would probably either sell them or just keep them on the shelf for later. I probably wouldn't put them on a daily driver - especially if you are in hard conditions.

Yeah I'm by the ocean, there isn't that much salt but it floods all the time. Honestly I wish i could get a crappy pair to replace these but all the ones I find are way over priced for their condition.

Like the guy selling a "reconditioned" set that are worse than yours for $1500 on eBay?
Yeah ive seen people sell rusted P.O.S's that are pitted, and they are only selling one of them for 300

Slap those on with new oem hardware and run them. The overpriced reconditioned sellers show that these can be brought back from the dead. Enjoy and be proud of your truck. Great find!

See thats more my style to put some serious elbow grease to get my Cruiser looking good. These just feel to much like cheating

They want to get dirty :) resell them only if you have another cruiser-related use for the money and if your conscience would be clear asking for market price.
What exactly would be market price? All I see are the crazily priced ones

If you use them make sure to spray the metal with Fluid Film

Just grease any areas where you can see the metal showing through the rubber. They will rust, eventually, but unless you live in Ohio or Michigan, it'll take a while. I would slather on axle grease and work it into the metal/rubber interface with your fingers, and leave a layer on there.

Run em!

Also I'm insanely jealous....

Run them and dont drive through flooded streets
But driving through flooded streets is so much fun. Also sometimes its the only way ill actually get home. Where im at we get tidal flooding and the water table is so high that if it rains hard it floods. I won't however drive through running water, most of the water is relatively stagnet.

I h8 that when parts for our LC's are too valuable to be used for their intended purpose. Good score though!
