Still need to tackle the winch, headed to bend next weekend to pick up the RTT.

Cant wait to get the icons on mine. I have 4 years + of hard wheeling on my Iron Man setup and I am sagging. I will return to that sexy stance soon!

Got the bumpers on today. I was kind of regretting my decision to color match them, but now that everything is mounted I love it. I will post some pictures in the morning.

@THeGeNTLeMaN @SouthernSS what is this piece for?

Did I do this correct?

View attachment 1184633

Yes, you did that correctly. That piece is the reinforcment for the door sheet metal that the heim joint plate bolts too. It should basically sandwich the door between the two

@SouthernSS very nice product all around, truly a well built and thought out product. I am very glad I purchased these.

Any ideas on what I can use to space the winch up. With the beveled steel plates leading to the base the winch housing hits when propey aligned. Spacing it up gives more clearance. Do you think aluminum plates would be strong enough? I don't have the capability to drill steel efficiently.

I used poly body lift spacers.

Not the same situation as you I don't think he's saying the winch is too long and the sides come down at an angle so if the winch was raised up it would have more clearance
... it must be an abnormally long winch not to fit

So your saying it's hitting on the left and right of the winch?... like in my picture?

Are those the foam cell pros?

Yes, got them from AXS off-road. Took me to a whole to get them but I can tell you AXS off-road has super good customer service.they are super beefing and the quality/ride is excellent. For the price I don't think there is a better option out there, I got constant weight springs front and rear.

AXS OFFROAD

I get like 5% if you follow this link and buy from AXS.

@THeGeNTLeMaN @SouthernSS here is pic of the winch, at this point the heat sink is hitting the bumper and I still need to move it another 1/4 inch to align.

I was thinking of notching a rectangle hole to allow for clearance of the bottoms of the heat sink, do you think this would be ok? I don't thinkitbwould affect the structural integrity?

I did try to take the heat sink off, but functionality it hold the guts in the motor so that is not an option.

You were going to try to notch the heat sink or the bumper?

Wouldnt it be easier to redrill 4 holes a quarter inch over?

i could do that, but don't you think that would be a weaker option as all the load is transferred to that area from the winch when in use?

Yeah I'd put a couple blocks uner it and raise up the winch. That's interesting that the TJM winch won't fit. It was one of the winches I was considering

@Mountain first off Im sorry your having an issue with the fitment of your winch Iv never seen or heard of anyone having this issue ... it seems to be a unique issue with the winch you have chosen to use ... the design of the bumper was to be as universally winch friendly as possible as most are within a pretty standard dimension size ...
That being said I don't see where cutting a rectangle hole in the area where it is touching would cause any issues in strength or structurally. .. but I would hate for you to do have to do that to make it work ...
If spacING or shimming up the winch slightly will solve your issue. .. I will personally make you a shim with the correct hole spacing and thickness needed and ship it to you ...
If you could do your part to figure out how much spacing is needed to make it work...
and I would also suggest making sure your not taking away too much thread length from your winch bolts ... Replacing the bolts with a sufficient length accordingly ... let us know what we can do to help :pompous:
