Can you just slap some 1/4 spacers between the winch and the mount?

Yeah I'd put a couple blocks uner it and raise up the winch. That's interesting that the TJM winch won't fit. It was one of the winches I was considering

I think this is the simplest option, but.... When the cable draws out I THINK the fair lead hole will be too low. the issues is the synthetic rope would hit the sharp steel of the bumper rather than the smooth fair lead. Now the hole on the fair lead is smaller than the hole on the bumper, but I have check for sure this would be the case.

@Mountain first off Im sorry your having an issue with the fitment of your winch Iv never seen or heard of anyone having this issue ... it seems to be a unique issue with the winch you have chosen to use ... the design of the bumper was to be as universally winch friendly as possible as most are within a pretty standard dimension size ...
That being said I don't see where cutting a rectangle hole in the area where it is touching would cause any issues in strength or structurally. .. but I would hate for you to do have to do that to make it work ...
If spacING or shimming up the winch slightly will solve your issue. .. I will personally make you a shim with the correct hole spacing and thickness needed and ship it to you ...
If you could do your part to figure out how much spacing is needed to make it work...
and I would also suggest making sure your not taking away too much thread length from your winch bolts ... Replacing the bolts with a sufficient length accordingly ... let us know what we can do to help :pompous:

Like I said before, you have a great product and customer service!

I don't think at all you could plan for every situation. I am going to mock it up and see if raising the winch is viable, if so I will definitely take you up on the custom spacer, but I would gladly pay for the shipping and any other cost! I will get back to you later in the week and thanks for the support!

Very nice, I have the regular foam cells on the front of mine. Thinking about upgrading. Great build man!

Hey, @Mountain. I've been curious as to how the K9 racks mount. I see multiple feet under the rack but I know there's only 3 factory set of holes for feet to mount to. Does a mounting plate get bolted down to the factory holes where the weather stripping is then the feet bolt to that? Or do you have drill more holes?

Gotcha. That's what I figured it was. Just curious how they did it. Thanks.

Exactly what @Sleepy said. Long piece of extruded metal, 6 Allen screws that bolt into the factory spots. Feet slide in and bolt to rack, I will snap some pictures for you tomorrow. Very sturdy, you would probably have to ram something to break it.

And while I was out today, made a trip to CVT in bend and picked this up! At t. hood for some night skiing now!

That's cool, guess you all know what my ugly mug looks like now!

looks like :)... :cheeeeseiloooovemycaaar:

that thing came out sick ... i know you probly have said it and im too lazy to read through again but how much lift is on it ... looks higher than the usual 2.5-3"

Ha! That's funny

Iron man says 2in. Guessing it's more like 3, I also got constant weight springs front and rear so I would guess that has also made a difference.

Also running 285/75r17 tire that could be making it look taller?

Did you happen to check out the new Summit Series? I like the new bells and whistles, but I am not sure how I feel about the radioactive green.

Agree with TheGreatHim - jealous.

I am hoping CVT updates the roost hard shell tent as that is ultimately the way i am leaning.

I did check out the new summit, it has a new style ladder and diamond plate flooring. I don't know what the other differs are but I would get a regular one because of the color.

You get a large annex with the raineer, because I live in the PNW this is usefull.

You should take into account lift on your car, I think I will need to take a step ladder with me to set up the rtt.
