I thought I would get a thread started as the parts roll in and I start working on the GX. I had a boy last year and made a promise to have a project for us so I am getting started early! The family loves camping and I used to off-road before I met my wife so I thought an overland build would bring us all together!

These just came in a few days ago from Southern Style Speed. This is a well put together product, they have definitely put a lot of time and effort into these bumpers. Customer service was great, they kept me updated with production and worked with me to get this shipped collect. Thanks SSS! Can't wait to get them mounted.

Plan is to raptor line them paint matched in the next couple weeks.

That's awesome, man! Looking forward to seeing how that rear bumper turns out. I'm hoping to do the same at some point. I like the jerry can holder over the ladder, too. Throw some pics up of your GX before you get the bumpers put on.

For sure, I will get some pics up of my gx

ah so your the jerry can guy ... those are some fine looking bumpers if i may say so ...

What does that mean?

I love it!

Thanks!

That is badass! Do you have any pictures of them mounted?

Not yet need to paint first. And your pm about price, you find this bumper at Southern Style Speed

What does that mean?

Im good friends with SSS and my shop produces the parts for thier bumpers ... theyre just down the road from me and I frequently go by his place so I saw your bumpers being built a few weeks back and noticed the jerry cans .... that's gonna be cool
I'm thinking of attaching a jerry can mount to the ladder on mine
You can check out my bumpers on THe GeNTLeMaN BuiLD THReaD

Good stuff @Mountain ! Im glad to see YRC freight got them to you without destroying everything.

Gentleman, i was looking at your thread when Kenny bumpers were being built. I really like what you have done with your truck. I am thinking about getting a double jerry can holder.

SSS, YRC did have the front bumper unstrapped and on a smaller pallet. The rear pallet was pretty banged up but I can't complain as shipping was $133. Pretty cheap from your place to Oregon.

Got a bunch more parts in. TC UCA, MT 4x4 rear spring conversion and Rock sliders, half the parts for the ezi-awn roof rack. BFG mud terrain KM2 are here with some spidertax wheel spacers.

Just waiting on the ironman 4x4 kit to come. Ordered constant load springs on the coil overs and rear springs. Being told the next container due from Australia dec 1.

another GX in the couve!? man i just had a note put on mine the other day asking about my rig and them thinking about modding theirs... so i guess there is gonna be 3 of us here now!? well welcome to the WGW (wood grain warriors). what color is your rig? and what are you doing with your old bumpers? i might be interested in them if you are tossing them out

I love my ironman suspension. It rides so well. I ordered my front coilovers pre-built so all I had to do was install the complete coilover. No spring compressors!

Great! Sounds like I bought the right set up. I wish they would get here soon.

Oh yeah! Mine is white, I will post a picture up when I get home. It is my wife's daily, I am sure she will get some wowed looks when it's all finished because she is a 5ft Vietnamese. I was probably going to hold onto the bumpers.
