There is a similar thread in both the 100 and 200 Classifieds Sections, makes sense here too. These trucks are changing hands at a rapid rate these days, having consolidated live market data is a nice thing for both buyers and sellers.

If you have recently bought or sold an 80 series and are comfortable sharing the details, post it here.

See mine has goodies and a new engine with 12,000 miles on it. Clearly work $65k! 😂🤙

Cheers
You need a 40 trade!

We’ve completely highjacked this thread…

You have a 70 series to pick up! Don’t get distracted by these 80 series shenanigans!
I am excited and looking forward to this 70 series and a new Cruiser experience and I love driving my 40, but 80 series are my first mechanical love and favorite all around Land Cruiser and tough to resist when I see a nice one!

However, I am at max capacity (once I sell the extra 40th and the 70 makes it to TN) so I have to remind myself (and my bride) that I am only harmlessly admiring!

No affiliation, but since we are on the subject:

The main difference right now in terms of pricing is that trucks that aren’t in the best condition- be it cosmetically or mechanically, aren’t selling for $20k anymore. Turn key trucks that are in good cosmetic condition are still selling for the same amount +/- a couple grand and might stay for sale a little longer. Extremely low mileage mint condition trucks are still bringing all the money if not slightly more. If real inflation is taken into account, these trucks are all worth much less now regardless of the dollar amount.

Maybe I was wrong.

Center lock only, faded paint, mismatched bumper, accident reported. No rust.

Sold for $31,500 not including the 5% fee

Yeah, that one blew me away, too. I have a rule of thumb for vehicle like that (roughly $20k) and it went way over. Maybe some of these headscratchers are just bidding wars between people with too much money?

Been noticing lots of 80 series in my areas not getting sold, I'm wondering if the market is cooling down.

I just went through this low mile Central American import. I'm curious if this specimen would get even get @SNLC excited about a SA/CA import!?

update?

Seems like prices have come down from 2023. Sure pristine versions sell for a lot but regular well loved trucks are reasonable IMO

Anyone need a triple locked project?
