Nah not yet... I got other stuff to take care of first, namingly some rust issues and now replacing my T-Stat that decided to quit on me last week.

And about the "being a woman" thing... I feel ya man.. I have been playing with PS and trying different color schemas (definitely dont have the skill of your buddy but I am pretty rusty) and debating on if I like the two-tone with the light quartz top or not. On top of that I keep throwing around the idea of just going with the tintable base and then getting the stock 8B4 pigment and taking it back to stock color.

Decisions decisions!

How well does monstaliner do in the sun? Is fading an issue?

Read through the thread.... MM states on their site that it is "UV Stable" and those like Mace who have used it in areas like Las Vegas have not had any issues with it fading.

dont have the skill of your buddy

He's an awesome artist and architect.

Some of his finer work.

Haha.

I hear you on the color thing. I hate it.

It's easy to determine the "best" of a mechanically functioning build component, because it has a quantitive value associated with.

Color, not so much. After a year, I still can't decide.

Dont I know it... I have spent the last 3yrs looking for specifically a beige (464) FJ60. Then I ended up with a funky colored, originally Dark Midnight Blue Metallic (8B4) FJ60 that has a silver coat sprayed over it by the PO.. Now I am thinking about doing a FJ62 style two tone color... LOL

I'm sorry, that looks like a standard FJ cruiser to me.. :meh:

I get that here, a lot.

Irony is, out of four, since the FJC nor the Lexus' are considered "true" Land Cruisers here, I still don't own one. Hahahaha.

Questions

Would a 1", or smaller, roller be able to do the small contours?

Where the edge between two colors would be, is a clean line possible?

Think that if you tape off properly then you should be able to get a nice clean line. There is also small foam blocks that are supplied with the kits that are used to fit the small corners.

So Snoozer, you are pulling the tape line while it is still tacky from the first application and re-taping or are you pulling off after the second?

While wandering the internet today I found a paint job that I actually like quite a bit and might go with!!! Good thing is that the Pyroclastic and Light Quartz should fit the bill for the colors.. Now if I can get my damn photoshopping skills to work for me... But here is the image that I found, this is off a Hilux and really the only things I would change would be the loss of the decal but I might keep the line down the body panel and just switch it to a dark red?!

(this is a Toyota Hilux Hi-Lift 1/10th scale R/C)

I really like the flames. Hahaha

If you can be descriptive and have pics of what you want chopped, will ask my buddy, if you want, repayment for the chips.

Body line along door handles, up would be the pyroclastic (dark grey) then below the handles would be the light quartz.

Got it.

Photochop request submitted, but if you had a pic of a 60 that'd prove beneficial to your determination, I'd forward to save time.

I have all kinds of 60 porn, but if you've one to work with....

Edited: Should I feel guilty about turning my head to look at the paint scheme on the goofy looking Ford wagons?

Here's an initial contribution by another Photochopper, provided the same directives from here. Something to ponder.

Nick, buddy that has the previously posted Photochop skills on mine, said wife graduated yesterday, has a newborn, and was at Jambo last weekend, so he'll get tomorrow.....when he goes back to work and has the free time. Hahahaha.
