Yup just like Dude said, roll the first coat somewhat thin then roll the second coat. Texture comes mainly from the second coat, letting it tack up and then rolling again to pronoun the texture. This is at least what I have gotten from my conversations with MM.

For those who have lined a whole rig...did you use primer or simply scuff the OEM paint? I've been reading more and more posts that recommend using a primer before lining. What's the verdict? Prime or no prime? I know this stuff can't go over bare metal without priming or any type of plastic without using an adhesion promoter. So what about scuffed up OEM paint?

There are certain colors that require a uniform color underneath (predator green, white, and light tans). Otherwise scuffing the paint will be fine.

Had that same exact concern and talked with MM about it. He voiced what the Dude says and also stated that when scuffing the factory coating you do not need to do anything special other than use their supplied products. I worked in a truck accessories place many years ago and shot bedliner, we used to use a nylon bristle cup brush to scuff the paint and then shot over that. Talking with MM, he said that was not needed and that simply using the pads they provide with the kit will be more than enough to create enough adhesion for their product.

Yeah or nay?

Hey magnetman now that you guys have a Jeep Commando color how about a army green from the new FJ Cruiser? We need a 'true army green' color :)

AH... yeah I need to get better with PS. I used to be ok, but haven't played with it in a long time. Personally I like the first and the last. Bodylines seem much better and more suited.

The first the preference, but after listening to reason, going all white using Monsterliner's stock white, the yhinking bring it'll be easier to match when body panel work is necessitated.

So, on to determining the specific quantities of primer and liner for the same area as this pic shows on sides and same elevation on rear door, along with the roof.

In white, along with the process to achieve a uniform, hopefully, smoother finish.

I have been thinking about this for a while now, but I don't want my truck to look like a Oreo cookie. I am planning on doing the sides of the 100 from the door trim down. Has anybody shot a coat of silver on a silver Land Cruiser? I called Line X and they quoted my $800 start to finish for both sides. I think I could do it myself in the driveway.

I'm getting ready to spray the inside of my 55 with Cygnus White Monstaliner and my paint supplier couldn't find the toner under the code 012. typed in Cygnus White and came up with the code 12. So if you're having trouble try the 12 code.

This is my fu.

After all that, considering keeping it simple with MonsterLiner's white, since touch up, possible in the form of sheet metal replacement, will be normal.

I like #2 and #4 the best. 4 I think I would pick as my favorite.

If I had the grey interior, I'd be all over it.

I still like the first, too,

But I'm worse than a woman, plus, if I'm going to do the first, want it to be a gnats ass match to the tan interior.

I think having just the roof be white would make that a perfect color scheme for that truck. Plus it'd be a great throwback to the 40 series' style :D

Delancy, I still have those killer beej and dune chips if you want them.

Thanks for offering up.

Hoping to get enough white to do just the unseen portion of the roof and hopefully enough left to jack around with coloration. Will request chips when ordering, but if it's not dead on, then I may sway back to white only.

You order yours yet?
