Okay, truck has sat for a while and I'm thinking of rounding up some parts.

Some of the link ends need rebuilds (or need to be replaced). I was thinking I'd remove one of each of the link ends and install some heims. Right now there is no adjustability in the links.

Also, many of the mounting holes have ovalled over time, so I think I'll need to cut all of the frame mounts off and weld some new ones on. Is there any other way to do it? Maybe plates over top of the existing mounts with proper sized holes?

And the big decision right now it the axles.
Option 1 - Rockwells. full assemblies are available to me with drums or no brakes. Parts are easy to get. Will have to get new wheels. Will need to be mounted with almost the same ride height to clear the pinion (the truck MAY sit 1 or 2 inches lower).

Option 2 - New 406 axles. Found a set that are next to new. Discs (although I have a full disc set up), just need to weld on suspension brackets and steal the pinion conversions off of my old axle (maybe even the entire third). Little more expensive option to start, but simpler and fewer after expenses.

Can't make up my mind. Rockwells are bullet proof. Mogs are cool and almost as strong. Bah!!

Well.... finally made up my mind. Piggybackin' on a friend's roadtrip and picking these badboys up!

Bump on the best looking 45 I've seen. Does the saga continue?

Alas, the saga does not continue..... with me anyway.

Truck is sold and some lucky guy in central Alberta is playing with it now.

Come on keep this post alive!
Must see the beast
