yep, my #2 was about to be bracing for the shock hoops....

also, a STRAP is way better than a chain, I use a chain to limit my front (cheap ass) and it sucks....big time....

Looks great!

You can remove that top leaf no your springpack if you want to lower the rear a bit..

Hi All:

Great thread, "LT!" Thanks for sharing!

Now I feel a bit cheated that you did not bring your rig up to Seattle for the 'Cruiserheads BBQ last September! Thanks for coming never the less, and the donated t-shirts! :D

Maybe see you over at Naches sometime? I'll be the guy on the "bunny run." :grinpimp:

Regards,

Alan

bro i like, rig is looking cool

My rig is pretty level as it sits right now. I think I'm going to space the springs forward a 1/2" to 1" to place the spring behind the axle more. Right now I have issues with the shackle flexing into the axle housing on droop.

The overload leaf really help with up travel though. Only under extreme flex will my tires start digging into the body.

Ummm that would require all new links and an additional 3" of wheel base. Plus my links are mounted directly below where the springs sits on the axle.

Shock mount bracing fo sure, looking great.

One question, do the twisty style links bind at all through the suspension droop and compression? My neighboring shop invisions some bind without using a hiem joint.

Rob

I'm sure I forgot a whole bunch of other stuff. My cruiser still needs a lot of work left on it.

1.) Limiting strap

2.) Bump stops

3.) Shock hoop bracing

Absolutely no binding. Its a 1" bolt threaded into the main shaft. So the link can go a full 360* if it so desired and then some. Another added benefit is that the links length and shorten during articulation compensating for oversteer :D

Kool, thanks.

Do the threads reverse on ride and left side links?

Negative. They are right hand only. On travel tho as the link droops down the joint will twist out and on compression it will twist in. That is what helps with it being an active link. Another thing to mention is that is a 1" x 8tpi so every half turn it lengthens a 1/16" of an inch.

VERY NICE LT .... I like it alot ... doors look cool too y'all need to make sometube doors for 60's and I'll pimp them for ya too :grinpimp:
