Heres a thought....

Maybe try to make the bumper so it can be sold two ways.

1. the minimalist high clearance trail approach

or

2. by adding a few bars for more portection for the ones that want it

So, you could design the a lower set up tubes and just add on the option for a stinger and top bars....You might be able to sell more than since it would appeal to a wider base of wheelers...

That's an excellent idea... The rear marlin 60 bumper would be very easy to convert from a trail bumper to a HD type of bumper quite easily... just remove the lower half and add bars to connect back to the frame and a rear stinger!!!

I agree with the others about the stinger on the front. The rear is great, IMHO. On the front, I would like to see it without the tubes around the headlights and with the stinger part much smaller - just going above where the winch would sit - maybe the bottom of the headlights/first line of the grill. I agree about the minimalist approach (plus it's cheaper for you and us). I am generally a fan of bumbers like the Slee Short Bus bumper and the MAF 4+.

Now get right on that. (You are aware that the world revolves around me, aren't you?)

i personally like the stinger on the front so long as its functional and will help protect my radiator when it rolls so i can still drive home. but maybe if the design was changed up a lil it would be more cosmetically apealing to a larger crowd. i am one of the minimalist type people need lots of ground clearance for the rocks.
the rear bumper also looks good however i do not like the wings so high. i would personally run them just below the light and side marker. i mean if your gonna break a lense then that little bit yall had it covering wont help very much.

Rear looks much better now with the lower sides, front looks nice too, but I'd lose the stinger as well- or at least bring it way down.

IMOP.

thanks for taking the time to hash this out with all of us!

hehe, yes. an option indeed would be better for sales/varied tastes...

Make em for the 62 series, or at least brackets for fitment and they (I) will buy them.

Lose the stinger, or make it an option, and scale down the ummm..tube factor for the front and rear. Recovery points a must. If you could scale the look down a bit with slightly more grill/headlight protection....

There is a reason the ARB bumper is such a good seller other than the fact that it is the only game in town. They look really good-
If you can make a reasonably priced alternative people will buy them. Not to mention the fact that we want an American made product. We'll buy them!

The rear is lacking a key feature-a connection to the frame, as far forward as possible, that does not require cutting the rear quarter.

On the front, just me personally, but I think stingers look too Pre-Runnerish. I would prefer a design that would keep the radiator from getting crushed in a roll. My headlight washers do not work, but even so, I'd like the bumper to clear. Having a mount point for an 8274 is also a great feature.

I would like to see these sold as a kit, similar to your sliders. If the price is as reasonable as the sliders, I'm in for a rear one for sure.

Overall, very nice effort.

i like that rear bumper a lot, the first design i think it is. especially for the side protection. i already have an arb on the front so i wouldnt have a front, but i bet that one weighs a lot less than the arb!

one love

Thanks guys. We will take all the input in and make some changes. I hope after the holiday weekend I can have a updated pic.

Can you add a Hella "Howling Beagle" feature?

Ya know, one thing I've always wanted a small front 2x6-ish/tube bumper with a small storage space between the frame channels. Just big enough for a tow strap/d-ring. If I only had the time...

Still, I think what you've got is hella nice!
