So I bought some 68" toyota truck sliders from marlin crawler. All .120 HREW tubing. Nice quality. Shipped to my door for $250. Came with 4 outriggers, plates, and gussets for each side. I also bought 6' of tubing to make front brackets due to the frame in the 80's tappering. The MC outriggers where short for these 2. First off if your looking for an out of the box kind of fitmit these are NOT for you. It took me a total of 15 hrs in 4 seperate times of work. Now I see why they charge almost $1k for bolt on sets. If your looking for cheaper way out and like welding and fabing then this is your kit. I also have my exhaust routed over the frame with very small magnaflow cat. I used a angle grinder with cutoff discs for all the cutting. Used about 2 lbs of flux core weld wire. 2 cans of sem rust shield satin spray paint. A sliding T-bevel is handy for the finding the angles trasfering to the piping. I did pick up both sides of truck off the ground by the outside of the slider. No movement at all. Check out some of the pics.

Thanks! By the way the ugly square plates at each end where for old nerf bars from po. I used the front one
For support and will be trimming them. Also will be adding more flat stock to cover cat. So I am 90% done I guess.

Damn, that takes a lot of patience. Looks awesome. Good job.

I was looking at these too. Marlin's web site imples that they are made of HREW tube and not DOM, but that his tube is made in the US and outperforms his competitor's foreign DOM tube.

Ah yes, I totally forgot about reading the HREW material when I bought them. Well better than DOM is great! The 6' length I picked up was identical to the HREW. Maybe thats why it was $6 per foot. The testing marlin has on their website for comparing the HREW vs. DOM is interesting.

Rig looks great! Love me some LACES OUT!!

I have had the "1st gen" Marlin sliders on my 80 for about 2 years now. They work fantastic. Price is right too.

Nice, I have trail gears on mine, finding all the angles was a PITA for me, I still need to truss mine, good work
