Some subjective data. Since I have both the stock halogen and LED in on low I can see the difference between the two better than the camera picks it up. The LED has about 15-20% more throw.

Another thing I was thinking about is I don't think a stock 80 could use the LED lows on the passenger side either because of the overflow bottle.

Hope that helps anyone on the fence. They are flamethrowers, if they last 16-18 months at $103 a pair they are totally worth it, but I wouldn't pay VLEDs price of $250.

Came here from the turbo thread...but if you're contemplating the B8 S4 you could also do a C6 or C7 A6 with the 3.0T as well. We have an 09 A6 avant with that motor and it's a great car, surprisingly fast and sporty for a bigger comfy car.
