Ok guys n gals, not much to report.
I painted the bottom of the cab with 4 coats of Stone guard. The product I used is called Gravitex by Upol. It had great reviews online and some say it works as a sound deadener too. Can't go wrong with that.
I also started sanding and painting some suspension components in anticipation of getting my chassis back late this week. All new bushes in everything too.
I went to a couple of paint stores and the guys who sell KBS coatings actually talked me out of using it even though it was a lot more expensive. So what I ended up with was a 2 part epoxy primer and a product called Dulux Autosolv GMH Black for the topcoat. Thanks to all who gave me advise.

Yes - If you don't have the time or funds to do it right the first time, how can you possibly have the time or money to do it a second time later on?!
This is an amazing build. You make it look so simple and clean. Excellent fab work and welding. These are the types of projects that make me think I want to build something as well. I just forget I don't have the time, space, equipment, funds nor talent!! I also don't have a spouse that shares my passion for vehicles.

I just pulled these diff center's and cv joints for my build. These donor ones are 3.9's which are replacing the standard 4.3's which came with the fzj105. I will be running 285/75r16 (33") tyres so with the 3.9s should give acceptable cruising rpm. Since it will be doing a lot of highway work, it should work out well. I hope.

Got a little bit done 2nite. Really happy with the job they did on the chassis.
Also got some goodies from Amayama. Way cheaper than going through the stealership.
All new brake lines, flare clips, fuel line clips, aerial, bushes, and stuff for my power window conversion

Man you work fast and that frame does look very nice.
Amayama are great to work with but they wont supply the large stuff like the windscreen sunvisor I just brought through Toyota.

Ok guys, I've got a couple of pics and a problem.
First, new bearings, brakes and 3.9 diff centers. The DBA T2's look like quality.
Next, brand new Aisin hubs.
And here's my problem. I can't get the snap ring on. I've pulled the axle out as far as it will go but still need about 2-3mm more to get the snap ring on.
Any ideas?

Thanks @Tapage, I got my slide hammer out today and made an adaptor to screw into the end of the CV joint. Gave it a few hard hits and got another mil out of it, then I was able to fit the thinnest circlip on the CV, just. Everything is very tight with all new parts, but it's all together now.

Nah mate, swapped some 70 series CVs onto the 105 axles.

Yeah mate, all good. I had to run the thinnest circlip avaliable from toyota. A few good smacks with a slide hammer and they popped on.

Things have really slowed down atm so not much is getting done on the project. I've had to change jobs due to a back problem which won't allow me to stand or walk for extended peroids. Already spent about $6k on flights, MRI's, hospital stays, anesthesiologist etc. All other options are exhausted and surgery is the only way forward. This will empty my savings and then some, hence the reason I sold my hdj79.
Ok, enough of that. My new job has brought in just enough money for a new clutch kit. I'm thinking of going with NPC's 1300Nm kit. My mods will only be mild for now but I don't want it to slip later on when the modifications become more serious. Has anyone used or heard any comments on this kit?
And some photos for good measure. Gearbox removed
Old clutch and flywheel. I have the option of re drilling and dowling the old flywheel or getting a new billet one with the kit. This option is nearly $700 extra.
