And announcements before early Jan when I have to pick all of my vacation for 2020!

Hoping to have a 200 early next year and be able to attend this event finally!

Nice!!

Do you happen to know the total weight of the trailer+boat?

Does that trailer have its own brakes?

Several people have been asking in the last several days of such things.
Not sure. Just acquired it this week with another mud member. About 6k-ish , closer to 7 with topped off fuel and fresh water tanks would be my best guess.

Recently got an LX570 and really considering this. She's stock at the moment but i am thinking AHC sensor lift and 33s should be good enough, least i hope so. Where is this one being hosted?

I won’t spoil the location but I got the email and I’m excited! Might have to pick up a heritage 200... although it looks like I could roll up in my GX460!

Interesting...

I'm excited!

We are excited to announce the dates and location for LCDC #6 in 2020!

This summer our Land Cruisers will take in the majestic views of Poudre Canyon, situated just outside Fort Collins, Colorado.

Fort Collins is a vibrant college town that is consistently named as one of the top cities in America with some of the best craft breweries, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and camping with Rocky Mountain National Park just a bit further afield. Denver International Airport is just an hour from Fort Collins for those flying in.

Poudre Canyon, which winds through Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest, offers incredible trails from difficult to leisurely all with varied scenery. You’ll find plenty of trails to fit your build and skill set as a driver whether your Land Cruiser is mostly stock (we recommend AT tires at a minimum) or built to handle anything nature can throw at it. Check out the Northern Colorado FunTreks book to get an idea of the trails.

The event will take place from July 29th, 2020 to August 2nd, 2020.

As in years past, we will kick things off on the afternoon/evening of the 29th with a get together of some sort and plan on doing a closing dinner on Saturday evening with some lightweight activities on the table for Sunday depending on folks' travel plans.

This year there will be a $100 fee per vehicle to cover our operating expenses and the official LCDC t-shirt. We will process full refunds for cancellations through March 31st; afterwards, no refunds. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns about the fee.

Registration opens the second half of January and will be limited to 100 Land Cruisers. If you're receiving this message you're already on the mailing list so there's nothing to do rather than stay tuned to see when registration opens!

Our Lead Sponsors are Back!

Slee Offroad
The team at Slee Offroad has been an integral part of this event since the very beginning. We're thrilled to have them on board for year six! An added bonus is this year's event is essentially in their back yard to make it easy to pick up last-minute gear or finally get those sliders.

Elite Land Cruisers
Todd, who has been part of every LCDC event, operates Elite Land Cruisers which offers turn key rare, rugged and professionally restored vintage Land Cruisers that are museum quality without the six figure price tag from other leading professional restorers. Elite has generously sponsored LCDC for the past three years and it's great to have them back!

Remember, the locals ain't fancy... it's pronounced POO-der
Yep we’re going to take our Cruisers up the poo-der! :)

Awesome! I guessed correctly when I requested PTO days off a month ago! I'll be there for sure! Can't wait!

Thanks so much for organizing this, I'm excited to learn about the trail options in the area. FunTreks ordered👍

The only thing that would have made my morning better would have been if I could have registered and secured a spot! I do hope that if oversubscription becomes an issue that 200's are given preference at least until a certain date perhaps?

I did have a question on basecamp, is there one prearranged camp where all who wish to camp will stay or will everyone be disbursed across various campgrounds with a morning and evening meeting place? Having lived in CO for 12 years I know that area can be really busy around the dates selected. If it's everyone for themselves I'd love to know the meet up location so it's easy to decide on nearby camping options.

So looking forward to this!

Folks' accommodations run the gamut from Airbnbs to hotels to various types of camping. In the past, we've observed that organically groups of people have found themselves in nearby campsites. This thread or the Facebook group are both good places to self-organize something (like sharing a vacation rental or a group campsite) but we don't really do anything to facilitate that.

I wouldn't worry about securing a spot as long as you register during opening weekend.

Thanks, Cody and Cole! This will give me an opportunity to come back to Colorado and visit friends and family. I haven't really explored the Poudre aside from driving Hwy 14 from Ft Collins over to Steamboat so I'm looking forward to exploring. Do you expect the meet ups to occur in Ft Collins proper?

I thought we were staying at Cody's house. How big is his back yard :)
