@spazzyfry123, correct. I’d assume that the no A/C option would fit better. I would confirm with LSO.

I also saw those solve blocks, they are a slick solution.

Its a great system! Hard to beat the price for the quality and design. Also LSO is a stand up company. They are small and busy, but stand behind their product and my customer service experience was 10/10! They hype on the 100 series thread is legit!

A photo of the gap for reference...

I use an exped megamat that spans over the gap between the seat and drawers (in an fzj80). The gap and the drop didn't even bother me, and I slept like a baby... Better than I do on the 2" pad in my iKamper skycamp. If I have thinner pads, I may consider some spacer blocks.

So it sounds like had you chosen the no A/C passenger wing that it would probably fit as expected instead of overly snug?

And if I'm understanding you correctly, the seats just need to be made level? I realize this is overkill and some scrap wood would do the job just as fine, but @Outsane (Solve Function) makes some trick blocks that makes the folded second row level. Cool factor may be worth the $20 for me. I'd imagine one of these would work well with the Reefs. If that's all it takes, then I may be getting me some Reefs!

EDIT: Looks like the blocks should work. Found this picture in the 100 series thread with picture specific to an 80 series

The blocks are made to be used with a platform that is 12 1/4 in tall. This what I found to make the rear seats level.

Thank you... it is made from simple wood and can easily be made by any one..

Mine are loved and hand sanded with care, after the warming with the sand paper they are caressed with butcher block oil.

Honestly I loose on the time and money spent making these. Again they are blocks of wood so its hard to charge more and not feel like a total ass.

I think the Reefs are 10.5” tall, but a 1.75” rise with a mat or mattress would probably go relatively unnoticed.

I think this may work....

It’s a great system, especially if you want to control the finish process and would like to build wooden drawers, but don’t have a great woodworking setup for cabinets building.

it’s easier to install some of the premade systems, but The folks at LSO are real people who stand behind their products and want you to like your system.

In case anyone was curious my rifle, a marlin 336 fits discreetly behind my drawers. Access is gained by lifting the 2nd row seat base. It’s nice to keep it tucked away and safe from prying eyes fits nicely in a space that isn’t super useful otherwise.

The 336 is pretty slender. Would a shotgun or bolt rifle fit in the void there or is a chinny-chin-chin fit for the 336?

I think a bolt gun would fit, as would a shotgun. I can certainly move my drawers closer to the hatch if I needed another inch. Overall length is the biggest factor. My cruiser is a ’93 for reference.

Excellent. You've answered my questions. I may do some cardboard mock-ups and test fitting before I order the drawers.
You can also gain a little more room if you want to trim the drawer case (see photo), maybe .5-.75” more room.

Any idea when we can order Reef Drawers for the 80 on your site again?

I’m pretty sure this thread isn’t the best spot to gather this information. Your best bet is to reach out to LSO directly. This forum is really the place to discuss the drawers, building, modify, customizing etc. There may be a better “finger on the pulse” of production in the 100 series forum.
If you’re not on the mailing list, I would certainly start there for info on products and updates. IIRC you can click through to purchase a drawer system and sign up for notifications when they are available again…you’ve probably done this.

I will say they are with waiting for. Especially if you want to finish them yourself. Good Luck. I ended up waiting a long time for mine…but I’m glad I did.

For those of you that stained/ painted your drawer system, did you assemble and then stain/ paint, or vice versa?

According to Fed Ex, my dual 40 drawers and wings arrived at my house this morning.

Very excited, Christmas came early for Dirt.

Looks good! Will you put angle over the top edge? If you are on the fence, I appreciate the aluminum angle I put on mine every singe time I load a cooler or dog box into mine. It was cheap and easy to install and all the parts were at Lowes.

That's a great idea to protect that edge and paint. Mine has a fridge on top and only 1 side.

Does anyone have the KISS drawers installed with the attic shelf using the brackets from @Delta VS? I would like to add the drawers but I am concerned that I would loose to much usable vertical height in my cargo are if I did so.
