Doesnt sound to strange, sounds like the kaiser just uses the older smaller journal. If the Kaiser is 45mm jounal than you need LM603049/LM603014 (we stock bulk in Koyo) This is the same carrier bearings as on 90 & older rear or on 8" 4cyl diffs. If it is 50mm than you need 32010x

We got the carrier out.
Installed the crown? gear.. and where ready to swap out the bearings.. But found the diameter of the Kaiser sleeve at the end where the carrier bearing sits is smaller than the OEM so we haad to order new bearings with the new smaller inside diameter, and the same outside diameter as OEM..
So needless to say I will now not be able to stay OEM with the bearings.. We ordered SKF brand since it was the only available to match the size! Is SKF any good? :whoops:

So it seems standard carrier that is in a 96FZJ80 has a 50MM journal with a bearing of the following dimensions:
(inside diameter) d 50mm
(outside diameter) D 79.974mm
(width) B 19.842mm

And the Kaiser using the above mentioned older carrier design found on 90 & older rear or on 8" 4cyl diffs. So using a bearing of the following dimensions should work:
inside diameter) d 45.242mm
(outside diameter) D 79.974mm
(width) B 19.842mm
And this should be Koyo bearing LM603049/LM603014

:whoops: OK I know it's been about a year!

The install of this locker has been a thorn on my side all this time with the asking "when you gonna install your expensive toy" every month, or every time she walked past it in the garage!!

But anyhow; I finally pulled the 3rd member last Sunday, and took it to Steve at A1 Differentials in North Phoenix to do the install and adjustments.
I will take some pictures and install tonight!

Only took 1 year

Well finally installed..
I took out the 3rd and brought it to Steve at A1 Differentials in Phoenix who did the install. Awesome service and very fair price!

I've put about 50 miles since the install, no offroading till this Saturday, but on the street it is smooth! I mean smooth as in almost transparent.. The only difference I feel is a little very little more traction from the back end.. But hard to tell by seat of the pants feel.. Maybe it's just placebo effect? It also feels like the handling is a little less good on turns.. Feels like the back end wants to push the rig straight on the turns But nothing like other locked rigs I've driven before where it was really evident that the back end wants to go straight. Also happy to report there is no tyre chirping binding, or any of the other locker-ish manners.. No kicking, buckling, binding, or other noises from the diff... I'll try to take some video of the truck in action this weekend gonna try to find some good testing spots where I can lift opposite wheels and test the lock!

Haven't been on here in like forever. Glad to hear that you got yours in Manuel and that its doing its thing. Had mine in for almost a year now with nothing new to report. Its still doing its thing quietly and unobtrusivly.

Just got back from 3 days of running trails at our annual club Rally. Mine's the Green/Mud Colored D90 with the Kaiser stickers just in front of the rear wheels. As you can see, I don't baby it...

3000 mile testing done!

Drove 3k miles from Phoenix, to Muleje Baja California Sur.
Including the San Felipe to Mex 1 Stretch of about 100 Miles Offload, And lots of Beach Sand, Rocks, and side offroading in some cool places and portions of the baja 1000 trail!

Had an awesome time Went to Coco's Corner for those of you who know!
9 DAYS of 4 people with gear coolers and lost and lots of gear! Had the back sagging low!!! But in the end that was a great thing, since the finally agreed that I do indeed need a lift

All that to say the Kaiser Experimental thingamajiggie.. Is no longer Experimental..
Worked silently as advertised..! No binding, kicking, perfect road manners on the FWY stateside.. Perfect on the long sandy and corrugated dirt roads.. And a definite locker when one wheel is off the ground! Love this thing, and would highly recommend it to anyone.. I also took the time to drain the diff on my return, swished a magnet around the gear-oil looking for metal shavings or anything.. Nothing there, clean, clean, clean..... no metal in it.. so I am confident the unit is holding up as it should!

12K MILES NOW!!
NO Problems still works like advertised! Did a few off-road trails since my Baja expedition, including the back road to Crown King AZ.. It's Definitely working as it should !
Now Since I am getting into harder tails I need a lift! ........ 2.5" OME Ordered! On to the next mod!

Bout 15k Miles now..
still doing it's thing.. Quietly and exactly as it should! Anyone else install this locker yet? Just did a bunch of trails at Saguaro Lake, AZ.. to test out my new 2.5" OME lift Love this locker!

Hit 20K on it now!
Same as before working as it should nothing new to report! Except it's still ticking along as it should changed diff gear oil and no residue on the magnetic drain plug I installed..

US version land cruisers are all Automatic Transmission and Full time 4wheel drive.. !
We also don't have diesels or part time 4 wheel drive or even a regular transmission ..

Lucky you in Europe you get the good cruisers!

P.S. Over 18K miles on the Kaiser, and I love it.. I forget it's there untill I'm offroading, then I know it's defenitely there!!!

Mine is in a 97 FZJ, I believe full float, did not come with toyota lockers from factory, is that what you are asking?

Support and sales may be lacking in the states, but I cant say enough how transparent this locker is on the road. No one would believe I have a locker on my rig untill you offroad and actually feel the differnce and see both rear tires grab traction, It's really hard to believe it's doing anything untill you actually lift one wheel off the ground and see it in action

I know, I know I still need the sliders, ARB front + back..etc!!
