Been a few years, any updates on the Kaiser locker? Opinions on best location to install one of these; front, rear, both?

I have them front and rear. Initially there was a ton of torque steer under moderate acceleration and turning.

I then PT’d the truck which solved that but because the t-case has to be locked to drive the front tires I now am getting some driveline bind off road on high traction situations.

So now i’m going to swap in a stock T-case which means it will have to be licked if the hubs are unlocked, but if the hubs are locked I then have the choice to unlock the center diff of not.

Real pleased with them. The last few years I’ve gone to Moab and even though I was experiencing some binding it was no where near the amount I’ve experienced with selectable lockers.

A couple of things to note. At the time I purchased mine the side bearings for the rear were the smaller size and the break in period was so rough that I thought something was seriously wrong. But as time passed they have smoothed out nicely.

Another update. I'm swapping out the Part Time t-case for a stock unit this weekend. With the amount of seat time I have it became obvious that part timing the t-case was the wrong decision.

With the part time kit the truck was basically either 2WD or 4WD

With the stock t-case back in it's 2WD, AWD and 4WD

So the current operating situations are:

highway - 2WD: locked center diff and unlocked hubs
off road - AWD: unlocked center diff and locked hubs
severe off road - 4WD: locked center diff and locked hubs.

By adding the AWD option and bringing the viscous coupler back on line I'm convinced it will be the dominant mode for off roading and low traction situations.

REMINDER: this configuration requires the pin7 mod to the locker ECU and a dash switch.

Can't wait to get back to MOAB with the new configuration.

Somebody liked my post and I just realized it’s been 3 years since the T-case swap and I couldn’t be happier.
So you still have a oe t-case. And basically locking hubs now? So 2wd is possible?
