Is @SeanLX committed at this point?

Unfortunately not.

I've been trying to figure out if I could make it but I don't think I can. This will be a fun trip with a great group but I might have to wait till next year.

Y'all have fun,
Sean

Well I am 100% out. Too many things to try and switch around with work. Have a blast and post lots of pics when you get back

Jeff T @JToobe is the newest member of ONSC and will be on the trip with us!! Welcome Jeff!!

Thanks! Thankful to take a late opening spot.....relatively long time Land Cruiser owner, have owned 11 since 1999. Was active with Upstate Cruisers in the early 2000's then inactive after job change & busier season of life but still drove a LX470 for a number of years. Then the fever returned and now have 3 LC's after selling the LX to Trollhole for his wife Becca to drive! Two daughters. Just married off my oldest daughter and the youngest is going to be a senior in high school. Oldest and new son-in-law looking to buy a 62 (thankful that he shares in my current interests: guns, bourbons & Land Cruisers) and youngest loves driving the 94 80 we will be bringing on the trip. Any other females going? Lovely wife of 28 years, Sherry, is considering joining me but is glad to stay home if it's a dudes trip!

Hey @JToobe and welcome! My wife and kids are coming on the trip.

Our group went the first week of June, and came to the conclusion that ONE EVENING, after dinner, should be spent ON TOP OF Max Patch to enjoy the light free view of the stars.... just a suggestion.

Also, if you want to have enough water - Lowes sells a 5 gallon water cooler bottle - plenty of water and refillable. They also have a cheap hand pump that can be used with it.

You could camp at Wolf Creek, but you'll be cramped with 9 trucks on the road. Just have to turn them around, and point them 'out' and then set up camp at the top of the waterfall. It's picturesque. The trail in was an easy drive, but it could be punishing for anyone bringing a hitch haul carrier. Be forewarned.

Y'all still have those spots open? I would like to tag along with my bro Steve @aquatech3 and the other UC guys. Taking care of membership now as well.

Yup, still have one spot open!! I see you joined, so you're in!!!

Chris, glad to see you going!
Johnny C, I don't have a CB/Ham...should i try to get one for this trip? See some folks recommend Baefeng hand held....thoughts?
Also, with rain chances 50% will i have issues with an 80 with just Michelin road tires?

If you can afford the HAM then yes, get that. Technically you would need a license to transmit with it (HAM Operator's License).

No issues with the 80 on Michelin road tires!! @Green Hell Mustang went last year with his stock michelins in the rain and was fine.

I'm going to get together some more details for the trip, go over the maps and post up some more concrete info early this week!!

Technically, yes, anything that transmits on the 2m or 70cm band (AFAIK) you need a license.

You can listen all you'd like without a license though :) Buy it and bring it out to see how great the audio quality is and then you can get your license later!
Will do....there are a slew of different Baefeng models....can you recommend one over others?
