What Trollhole said! . . only i don't fully understand, so I am also "In like Flynn" which turns out to have somehow gotten creepy, I guess:

In like Flynn - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I am also so far IN, that I am close to buying this 1987 Corolla Toyota LE WITH my son so that my 4Runner will be prepped WEEKS in advance, sitting there ready to go without going back and forth to High School, and ready to do THIS!!

Didn't take off my skid plates or Antennae for CB.

This is almost the ONLY thing I am looking forward to in June among 5 customer visits and humidity and other crap!!

Join me to the quad!!

Can I get any more IN?

i know people have a fear of guns, but can bring the 22 rifle with some metal plinking targets if you guys want. its a 10/22 take down ruger.

I'm definitely going to bring an ez-up and rain gear this year.

After cleaning the TB and replacing the TPS, truck appears to be running good. Idle is not sewing machine smooth but it is better than before.

We have a monster 12x14 EZUP we can bring.
How are we working out firewood? I have a camp hatchet and saw for collecting anything available.

Hey Andrew, we just picked up a Camp Chef Everest. It puts out a LOT more heat than our previous stove.

Any of the popular sites are generally picked clean except for recent storm or dead fall. I brought an old dive bag full of cut kindling and some smaller logs. That was enough to get a good fire started and get what we did find lit.

Heather bought some of these, a couple are all it takes to get the fire going

I'm making an Izzy-awn c/o @Izzyandsue 's build thread. Might pick up one of those 10x10 pop up tent things also. I have a 2 burner camp chef expedition I'll bring. We are hammock tent camping and trying to go light on gear otherwise. Plan on picking up a mv-50 or 88p also.

Anybody bringing escape boards/mats like maxtrax or equivalent?

Being that am in hill country I can score some firewood.

I have the MV-50. It has worked incredibly well, but I think the Viair is a better unit for $15 more.

Definitely bring firewood! There was ample deadfall for us to scrounge last year, but it was all soaked.

As for air, I'll be bringing my Co2 setup, so we should be covered there.

I'll be bringing my chainsaw in case we encounter fallen trees on the trail blocking our path, or in the scenario it's dry, so we can cut our own wood. I've always wanted to try making a Swedish fire torch :D

There's a guy local to me that selling logs he had cut up over the winter.
Seasoned firewood ready for splitting
I've sent him an email but haven't heard anything yet.
I too wanted to build a Swedish fire torch from a log. I've watched lots of videos on it and wanted to see if it really works as well as folks say.

Having led many trips, I doubt very seriously you'll need maxtrax or to air down. But, after having to drive over a fallen tree once, air might be warranted. Someone having some extra gas is also nice, we did a lot of driving one trip, and came out with the light on. It's a nice drive on 40 to find the closest gas station...

They are kinda strapped to my truck :-) Ill have diesel for folks that need it, since again thats strapped to my truck...

Looking forward to this trip.... great mini vacation and i go off call the wednesday before.... crunch time at work, 2/3 pages at night.... over it

For the uninitiated, part of the reason we meet at Sierra Nevada is to go over a final checklist of everything. Driving from Mills River back out to 26, we go through the small town of Mills River and we'll make sure to top off our fuel tanks.

I guess I am not as "IN" as I thought :(

I need to open up my slot to someone else due to a family situation that is looking probable in the next few days and likely means extended time in KC/KS with family.

I don't want to drop out a few days before, not give people a chance to prep, etc.
