Front bumpers add a lot of in city protection as well, but only a Bull bar gives max protection. I know someone who hit a horse on the highway and just had to wash it off. I hit a deer in my GMC without one and destroyed the front and side. Here is an old thread on the value of an ARB Bull bar which would be my recommendation. After this my wife never questioned bumpers

Looks good!

How badly do those 315s rub?
I was under the truck recently and noticed that the sidewalls appear to rub on the KDSS/Sway bar.
The Driver's side: Previous Owner had undercoated it, so I noticed it looks like the undercoating and paint had been worn away. Also then noticed the black ring on the tire sidewall. Looks like it was polishing the sway bar.

And the Passenger's side: Not as bad, but rubbing in two spots, with similar but smaller black 'polished' ring on the tire sidewall. Fingers for scale (-:

KDSS RELOCATION - Done or not done?
I'm not sure if the P.O. did the KDSS relocation. I think maybe he did, since there is a rectangular plate between the body and the sway bar, but it is all undercoated and black, so it doesn't look like the bracket install I've seen. From one picture on the forum, it looks like the sway bar mounts more directly to the frame. Am I right?

(and for reference, the tires are 315/70R17, 2-3" Icon lift. P.O. trimmed the wheel well/mud flaps. Not sure if he did anything to the bump stops, will have to see if I can tell.)

Yes, that's the relocation kit, covered in goo.

Thanks Tony. Should I be concerned about the rubbing on the sidewall? I mean, is that going to wear through the sidewall? I assume not, since P.O. did this lift/tires about 3 years ago, but then again it could be a cumulative thing.

Nice build, BTW.

It's only rubs at full lock?
Usually you're not moving at a good clip when at full lock so I wouldn't consider it isn't a huge issue. It certainly isn't ideal but I wouldn't worry. My 35s rub a bit more than that on the UCA.

Thanks Tony. I'll have to take a look to see how far over its cranked to rub...full lock or how close to full lock.

Yeah, that undercoating goo is, gooey. Came off on the jack stand pads.

Not yet. Been too busy, but I will try to putter around one of these days and measure how far it turns before it rubs. I've just made wide turns (-;
