While in St. George, we also hit up the American Adventure Lab and took a tour of the facility. An awesome American company doing amazing things for Jeepers, Broncos and Yotas. We also came across a really cool 1st Gen Taco.

Due to repetitive stuckness, we decided to call it quits in Sand Hollow and went to Toquerville Falls.

It's nice seeing fully stacked vehicles being used for what they were actually built for and not just running kids to school, violin lessons and soccer games.
Great pics!

Great thread! Got through most of it and found your YouTube channel. Hope you keep both going on the GX because I'm enjoying it.

Maybe one day I can talk my wife into some bigger adventures in ours. We have three kids (15, 8, and 3) who make traveling a wonderful experience - not! And having all three of the kids in the car requires many hours of studying Gandhi in preparation for finding the inner peace needed not to murder a child 😂

Be patient, your time will come. Although we were fortunate that our daughter was great with road trips. She'd fall asleep before we hit the freeway on ramp, only 4 blocks from our home. I wish I could say the same about our granddaughter. She doesn't nap at all when on the road and as a baby cried the entire trip down from Tahoe, 9 hours!!! She's better now that she's 7 years old, but still does the, "How much longer?, Are we there yet?" etc.
But now as empty nesters, it's just my wife and I, easy-peasy. Just hop in the GX and point in any direction except west (we're by the beach, can't drive any further west...).

Thank you! and this GX will probably be owned by me for the rest of it's life lol. Gonna probably end up like one of those Rubicon Yotas with an Exo Cage lol

Left Utah and made it out to Las Vegas for a night. Stopped by ORW, because why not? And had lunch/dinner at a Laotian/Thai restaurant called “Jumpa Lao-Thai Bistro”. First time staying at the hotel “Fontainebleau” as well 🤌🏽

So check this, when I met Mike in the morning, it was my first time ever meeting him in person. We had talked on IG for a bit but like said, we had not met before this day.

After meeting Mike, we had made our way to a Hawaiian plate food place in LV, and when we arrived, my hood had some steam coming out of it. I was immediately thinking the worst, “****, my radiator is done.”

So, told my brother, “Hey, let’s just go in, order food and think about our next step. Most likely I’m ordering a new radiator.” We get in there, order food, and I order a new radiator from O’reilly’s as it’s the only place that was showing I can pick up “today”.

I message Mike, “Hey Mike, my radiator blew on me. You have a house or apartment? May I please use your driveway?” Mike’s response, “Oh no, house and yes.” I must mention that his response was without hesitation. No anxiety from little dots typing.

My brother and I ended up strap towing the GX with the Taco all the way to Mike’s house. Mike opened his house to use as he was still at work and trusted us there. Much love to Mike and he’s ow a friend for life.

We ended up finding that the radiator cap was loose and the radiator was fine, so we just added coolant and burped the system. And yes, I did pick up the radiator I bought, so I had an extra radiator with us now. It was too late to go home, and wanted to show our thanks to Mike and his buddy/roomate Julio, so we took them out to eat Korean BBQ.

So, one more night to stay in LV! We got a room at the Trump Tower. Cool thing is we were able to see the Sphere so clearly from our room.

Man, the issues don’t stop 😄. On the way home, I felt a hesitation and vibration, but no check engine lights. Pull off on the next exit somewhere near Bakersfield, CA and filled up the tank. Maybe I was near empty? Dunno, but the GX struggled keeping 5th and 6th gear, wanting to stay around 4th max.

I’m thinking to myself, “I think I know what this is, and this if familiar.” We get home safely without incident minus the issue the GX is dealing with. I immediately look at my u-joint on the driveshaft to Dana 60 yoke, and I’m like “Ha! I knew it! U-joint failure!”, but after pulling the driveshaft, the damage was worse. The broken u-joint cap allowed the u-joint to eat at and destroy the metal ears of the driveshaft, rending the driveshaft unusable.

Welp. Had to order a new driveshaft and the GX became immobile.

After replacing my rear axle, I addressed my rear right brake hardline that I installed at Yellowstone. I hand bent it more to improve the overall aesthetics lol 😂. Now it looks much more OEM.
