Heather and I did right around 400 miles yesterday, round trip. We got to meet some club members and reunite with some others. Got to see some cool cruisers as well. Mike's location is beautiful and as a horse person Heather was enamered by the farm.

Great to see you again Johnny, it's been a long time since wheeling at Raushe. Moonshine has come a long way since then indeed, you should be proud.

Nice to meet you Ryan, hope that you were able to get all done that you were working on.

We left Mikes place and went over to Darin's to pick up an 80 roller. Darin's place is very nice and in a nice secluded location. Although Darin and I have conversed on the phone and via PMs here on MUD this was the first time we've met face to face. It was a pleasure Darin.

We also got to take a look at Darin's shop and the ground up 40 he is working on. BEAUTIFUL work Darin. The work that you are doing on that 40 is fantastic. Every little detail is seen to. If any of you are even half considering having Darin work on your cruiser do not hesitate. I would pesonally drive the 3.5 plus hours to Darin'e place to have him work on mine.

Had a great time yesterday, just wish we were closer. :)

Thank you to everyone for another fun club hamom. And special thanks to Lydia for going above expectations and cleaning my kitchen spotless. I think it's great how we all contribute to the collective effort. My only regret is that i didn't get to spend more time wrenching underneath the trucks while i played host. It was great seeing old faces and meeting some new folks. We will have to plan another one of these here at the farm and really make it a full weekend event so more folks have a chance to come visit. Oh and a special thanks to Sean who saved Ryan's lift install effort. We were struggling and flying blind till he brought his knowledge and guided the completion of the project. I hope everyone had fun and look forward to seeing you all again soon.

What was the problem you guys were having with the lift install??

It was the time consuming nature of doing a project for the first time. Figuring out what step comes before the next, what tools work best, what bracket goes where. It's always quicker the second time.

A 5/8 drill bit helps....

I am a tech, 60+ hours a week. Anyone who has ever worked on their car/ a customers car, knows that it can get frustrating. Well after 4 hours of nothing but caster plate drilling and welding and grinding and waiting for trips to lowes and back I was getting pissed. I saw no progress and couldn't do anything while mike was gone cause I didn't have a drill bit, and I can't weld.

Sean got there while I was starting the back and mike was at lowes. He jumped in and helped me immensely. Thanks a lot Sean.

Thanks to mike for everything man, the couch, the shower, the blast we had Friday, everything.

Charity, thanks a lot for the shocks. Send me a pm :-) And for dinner Friday night. You three are awesome!

Everyone else who was there that I talked to or helped, it was good to see/meet you. Johnny thanks for the help. Kenny and lydia, you too are amazing, that's all. Haha..

My truck is huge. Rides like a new lexus. Darin, your my hero, I love it.

Ryan, wish I could have helped more, but at least you were able to drive your truck home. Next time we'll have to make sure we've got all the tools and bits we need beforehand :D

That speaks volumes for both of you guys!

It was great to see everyone and meet some new people. There were some good looking landcruisers there.

Mike, thanks for hosting. Great job and I think everyone had a good time.

Ryan, the truck looks great. I think y'all were on the way once you got the right drill bit. I'm glad I could provide a little more motivation and an extra hand. :wrench:

sounds like an awesome time was had. Sad I missed it but after 3 straight weekends of working on cruisers and next weekends uwharrie day the wife time card came into effect so I hiked 5 miles up a mountain instead.

I do need a new set of DD tires. Can you get those meats in something closer to 37" ( or less ) and narrower?

Something isn't right with the LX. I'm gonna get it on the alignment rack tomorrow. I'm expecting to see some camber numbers way out of wack. Its scary at 55mph+
