Well, we've bounced around the topic, and Im putting my bid in- Id like to do a Hamom! Maybe late January? Im open to traveling out towards ya'll, and if you can put up the huz, the kid and, well, ME! Id love to put this together - but it may be unrealistic since I live much further away than the largest part of our club to think ya'll will come to me.

Here'e my working list of things Id like to work on..subject to change!

1. Replace tie rod ends
2. Replace a broken stud in the wheel
3. Mount new seatbelts/seats
4. Id also be open to cooking a full-on dinner for those in attendance - Home. Made.Southern. Fried. Chicken. Im not bragging but the Colonel closes KFC everytime I get my fryer out. :D

What do you guys think? Suggestions?

Yes, you are too far away, but.... Mike (Burt88) was mentioning one at his place or if you could talk Daren into hosting, you could get some members to show. Either place, I would be willing to come and lend a hand and offer moral support. ;)
I love fried chicken! :bounce::bounce2:

A little too far for us in Charlotte.
Luckily though your fixes are pretty simple so if we could organize another mega hammom at a central location it could get knocked out easily. I'd pose the question to others that need work.... I think David Miller was looking for work to be done on his also.... if we could get one going central closer to raleigh or southern pines i'm sure there would be a good turnout.

It's not like its an entire drivetrain/rear axle swap. Yeah this one tomorrow is going to be fun :D

GOOD LUCK with that swap!

Id definitely be willing to head out where a majority could attend - why don't we turn this HAMOM into a mega-40 work event??
I KNOW the Crockpot needs some attention - how bout you Phares??

I might actually have a weekend off in January!!! I would be down to attend, especially somewhere central. You let me know when and I will try to be there! I might try to do something super simple that weekend, like weatherstripping! And I don't mean getting naked outside in the rain...though for the right amount of money....

Yeah, because nothing is easier than removing the accumulated residue of 40 years worth of W/S. My wire wheel got seriously abused that weekend. Who uses silicone and epoxy??????

Let me see what i can do about hosting it at my place. We could do a few trucks in the space i have. I need to put a coat of paint on sandy's frame which involves lifting the body off. Crockpot needs suspension. What date were you thinking?

I'm game for whenever ..looks like I need to replace a seal too.

If I know in advanced I can get my parts and money (to pay darin) ready and we can throw my lift on. Granted Its not a 40...

I got the okay for the weekend of the 18th. My boss and his family are out of town then too. Cmon to the farm! There is plenty of room to stay here too. We can have a bonfire in the field as well. All we will need are heaters for the shop if temps are low

Bonfires, beers AND Landcruisers. Shall we bring oysters too? I got a Mainer for a huz that loves steaming em over a fire!
We are in...I can't wait!

Definitely bring oysters. So far we have mejane, crackpot, and sandy getting work done. How many people would it take to lift a body off of a frame? That's how many people i need.

I can come help but have to work Saturday. Lydia also wants to come watch; she could be our "beer bitch". Don't tell her I said that! We can be there by 3:00. I have 2 good jack stands and tools if needed.
Also, are we tent camping or do you have floor space for a blow up?

I've got a 3 ton jack ...should I bring it too?
