That looks terrific! I did this years ago and I have no regrets. You might want to keep an eye on the pitman arm/spring contact. I was hitting, so I put the drag link on top of the arm with the help of a special reamer, then welding the ball studd on the bottom so the nut wasn't hanging down there. A different arm is probably the best way, but I have had no issues.

Yep-FJ62 housing. Good eye for that.
Affirmative to cut and turn as well. The pinion angle came out so perfectly that I think I could run that front shaft at 75 mph without vibes.
What did you set the pinion angle to? I know the 62 comes with more angle than the 60, so you must have not increased it that much.
What tires are you going to run? 35's or 37's? Re-gear?
I don't know the exact angle-I can measure later. It increased significantly.
I'm planning to run 35s. After years on 35s I know the Cruiser axles can handle them without much risk of breakage. I'll go larger if I like wheeling this truck.
You still have them piece that attaches from the top of shock to the frame (front of the chassis)????

Outstanding job! And in only 4 days - very impressive. I think I recognize those OEM springs from my 62. Glad they could go to a project like this.
