Rob,

you look threatening in that picture :flipoff2:

I had a little adrenaline rush at that moment, and was not looking forward to re-crossing a snow melt swollen stream.

Brock - everything is cool, and looking forward to your bear pics. How are those Nittro's on the road, in terms of noise (maybe I already asked you that early)?

they are a bit noisier than All Terrains and also noisier than my KM2 on FJ60 but then again the FJ60 is not a quiet vehicle and I also was running tall-skinnies on the 60...and these on the 100 are quite a bit wider...so more footprint on the ground, more resistance, more noise.

I notice a rumble feeling less than 10mph...and a low pitched hum at highway speeds but nothing that bothers me as I grew up driving on Groundhawgs and SuperSwampers....bias ply. LOL

I need to figure out why my scanner is not working...and will post up the black bear.

The bear pic from when I went to Saskatchewan with my longbow back in 97...and another of me backcountry hunting for 10 days with everything I had on my back....

Now back to Land Cruisers...LOL

LOL...I have had more comments on me wrestling that big head up for a pic since then to never do that again....yours was one of the cleaner comments. LOL But yes that is a rear choke LOL....I had someone ask if it was alive when I wrestled it! LMAO

You must be related to my friend Brian, who as you can see also prefers the rear naked choke technique on bears.

Took her to Uwharrie Forest OHV area this past weekend with 9 other Land Cruisers from around South Carolina and North Carolina. I was able to complete the most difficult trail (Daniel) in addition to Rocky Mountain Loop, Dickie Bell and I think we did one more but cant remember name.

Here is link to a few photos...select SLIDE SHOW and FULL SCREEN for best viewing.

Looks great Brock. You got me thinking i should have bought a 100 series :)

Sold the Slee Sliders...for no real reason other than I wanted a little kick out at rear. Not a bunch but enough to help protect my rear quarters a little from vertical encounters with off camber ditch banks or trees or other items...anything. Plus to help on back wheels as I seem to ding up the alloys more without some extra forced clearance. I dont do a lot of rocks so not worried about getting wedged or stuck really.

sold Slees to a nice young lady with LC100 in northeast....and I put on White Knuckle Offroad sliders.

Great fit...great workmanship...very solid setup. If I had a LC they would even allow me to install the factory mudflaps...unfortunately the molding on Lexus prevents their use and not been able to find anything comparable for Lexus through dealer or otherwise....so might have to make some short ones and cut myself.

...more

Not had offroad yet but no issues with being held secure with supplied hardware. They will be scraped and banged within 30 days. :D

Here is a little promotional video of the sliders....

Next Toy:

Well, saw this on during Mecum Auto Auctions a while back...price went up $10 to the new sale price listed of $59.95 plus shipping with $9 rebate.

Up to 75 gauges are displayable dependent on your particular vehicle...works with OBII vehicles only but there is also an additional EXCEPTION LIST on website of other vehicles it also will not work and mostly Taco's from what I saw from Toyota stable.

Read some other forums where they all were happy with it especially for price...and a long thread on 80 Series forum as well with positive comments. So going to give it a try for my Hundy....even though I almost bought a ScanGauge from Autozone last weekend. LOL

Plus on top left of website you can pic the terrain in windshield...put mine on DIRT...:D :D

They even have a tool to help you find your OBD port in vehicle with graphics

Also, Paid for my BumpItOffroad rear bumper....including Rear Tire Swingout and Hi Lift mount, Rear Jerry Can swingout and CB Antennae mount, rear quarter panel wing protection, and 2" receiver for hitch integral to bumper. :D :D Should be here in 30 days.

Can't wait to see it installed man. Lookin good!

Trees must be raining $$$$$$$$! Wish I had your trees! Love the sliders! Truck looks great!

Cant wait to see your rear bumper installed! Those WKOR sliders look real tough!

sliders were bought with money I got selling my Slees....in Sept so no extra cost incurred.

going to school full time at night after work...3 classes this semester...so my GI Bill gives me extra money....which is paying for the bumper. Almost a full semester to save enough...haha

so no money tree...just frugal and proper financial planning. :D :D

I remember the days of the GI Bill... we used the left overs, when there were any, for groceries. But then again, we two boys at that time too. For me, there seem to always be other things that need $$ before spending it on the Cruiser. Just got word from the dentist that #3 needs a ortho consultation. Our reply: "We need to get one of the other two out of them first!"

I am envious. They look great! Keep up the great work!

Everything is looking great Brock! Can't wait to see that rear bumper installed.
