Doesn't get the picture, can elaborate a bit.
The main shaft isn't long enough for this, right?
Did you extend the shaft inside the box? or some other way?

What is the estimated cost to have someone create an adapter/input shafts to make a current Xcase/crawl box work (ideally an Atlas), or custom Crawl box X-case form scratch for the 80 as it sits NOW?

For the Record no one on here seems to have an answer/solution irrespective of cost.
Well the people you would need to talk to about it IE Marlin, do not frequent this board. You would need to send them a message telling them to come look at this thread to see if they can answer it at all.
We have done one adapter to go behind an A440. It was a one off adapter plate and there was a fair amount of mods required for the install (oiling provisions, floor modifications, and a few others).
For an 80 series it COULD be modded to work with the early FJ80s with the 3FE. We haven't looked into the later model 80 series. At this point we feel a drop in gear set for the 80 is much more appealing to the consumers than the work that would be involved with a dual case install.

What is "it"? a toybox? Are you referring to putting an H55F or H42F tranny and splicase behind a 3FE with the 3F bellhousing? Cause then the toybox is a bolton... but it requires fitting the 80 to be a manual tranny.
That would be for a ToyBox in an early FJ80 behind the A440. We haven't seen an A440 from a 3FE so we're not positive that the tailhousing is the same as in the FJ62.

Huh? the A440 is behind a 3FE in both the FJ80 and FJ62. If you haven't seen an A440 behind a 3FE, then what was it behind?
I'll Buy a toybox for the A440! let's do this! My gas tank and exhaust is a non-issue... neither are back there anymore.
There are slight differences between the A440 and the A440F, I believe.
So is production at ludicrous speed yet?

Stupid question, what if we look to the tranny..what would it take to adapt a turbo 400 (or other tranny) to the 80 engine? if we could do something like that then all X-case/crawler options would be on the table.

At that point, swapping in a small block and selling the factory engine/trans/t-case seems to be the cheaper option.
