If not a cruiser/yota what would you drive?

Obviously we are all kind of biased towards toyotas in one way or another. So if there wasn't such a thing what US available rig would you wheel/overland/etc....

For me I think my overall favorites have always been square body bowties. Whether it is the crew cab trucks or the burbans or the blazers.

There is a size and flavor for everyones need.

The only thing I would ding them for is width which could hamper on some trails. But then if you don't care about body damage then its not a huge deal.

Really i'm a lover of all 4x4's they all seem to have pros and cons, some more than other, but there isn't many I wouldn't own time/place/price being right.

what I had before I got into Cruisers....A first Gen Bronco most likely....or a travelall.

Solid choices the IH brand is also one of my favorites and who doesn't like a classic bronco?

Gen 2 bronco (78-79) ....

Assuming you mean instead of my 80, which is my first Toyota ever, Land Rover. Its what got me back into 4WD. Maybe an LR3. I was heading that way before talking to experts who steered me the 80 way.

The Nissan Titan Cummins in a short wheel base with access cab, bilsteins, locking rear diff sounds pretty good.

Add one of these in the full size body and . . .

Go Fast Campers Homepage

. . pretty nice overland rig.

Sounds good on paper, but horrible Consumer Reports ratings on it. Of course so does the current 4Runner and LX570.

Now that I know what I know about 4WD and Toyota, I'm not sure what I would drive. The GTI is my daily driver and the 3rd vehicle would have to be older and pretty stout. My first choice would possibly be a diesel Ford F250 with a camper shell.

Yeah you can't play since you've owned every 4x4 known to man :flipoff2:

Got to test the field before making a commitment!

Certainly on a total aggregate basis, cruisers still top the list!

Sucks I’m cruiserless at the moment.
