ICON alloy wheels?

Thank you all for the info!! I’m in search of a new set of wheels and tires for my stock 2000 lx470 with AHC. The chrome of the OEM wheels are peeling causing a slow leak.

I saw a set of icon rebound for sale around me (17x8.5, +25 offset). But wanna see if they’ll fit before I pull the trigger.

I saw most of the posts are for Land Cruiser or with a lift. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? I really would prefer no mod to the LX.

Thank you so so much in advance!

I dont see any reason why those would not fit. You will just need a spacer for the center cap in the front or different caps. Bencc on here makes taller caps to cover the axle dust cap or Delta makes a spacer. I just put spacers on mine the other day so I could run the front caps.

Also most of the Icon wheels come in that spec I believe in 5x150

Here is the rebound in a 17” with no lift, also Bencc’s center caps to clear the front hubs.

I just wanted to share this.
Icon Vector 5 in bronze. I ordered them in Oct '21 and just received them late April '22.
17 wheels
Spidertrax 1.25 spacers
285 75r17 bfgoodrich KO2
2.5 inch OME lift with higher spring rate on rear

Only issue I have is the pinch wheels behind the front wheel. Getting that corrected next week.

I was looking at the specs, and the hub diameter appears to be 110mm, same as our front hub diameter. But I'm guessing your tried that and they wouldn't fit without the spacers? Just trying to confirm these can't be run without spacers (other than to make the covers fit. )

I can confirm that the Vector 5s will only fit with at least a 1" spacer. I ended up ordering the Spidertrax 1.25" spacers from Slee. There are two separate item numbers, one that only fits the front, and one for the rear. While I am not a fan of spacers, without, the hubs will not clear the wheels. I am contemplating having the center section of the Icon 5s machined out to clear the 100 series hubs. I may take my spare to a local machine shop and see how it turns out.

As others have mentioned, fittings 35"s (315/70/17) is not for the faint of heart. With the spacers and the +30 mm offset from the wheels, serious work is needed on the front "pinch weld" to get the tires to clear. The name is kind of deceiving, it's not really a weld, but instead 3-4 different sections of sheet metal folded together at the end. When you cut and trim, these sections are no longer joined, so I ended up welding them back together. A little primer and rubberized undercoating later, and things are good to go. In trimming the finder lining, you create an area where wheel spray can get into the rear portion of the fender, the rubberized coating should keep corrosion at bay. If any, at least now you can get in there with a hose or pressure washer and keep it clean, Before, this area was just packing mud and I couldn't even tell.

I still need to get some extended bump stops for the front (Wheeler) and bump stop extensions for the rear. Even with those, I think I am going to have to cut the top portion of the fenders because at full stuff, they will likely impact the fender lip. Getting rid of the spacers would help.

Did you ever try getting the center machined out? I really want to get away from spacers, or at least only run 1/4" ones.

I haven't yet. I did find a machine shop willing to do it, but I need to dismount all tires. I'm almost done building a workshop that will have twin lifts so once that is done in the next 1-2 months, I can more easily pull the wheels off the 100 (Shop Build. Finally Broke Ground. - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/shop-build-finally-broke-ground.1327402/)

I may also try just 1 wheel to start, so if something goes horribly wrong, I'm only out that single wheel.
