I wish I had a pawn shop near me lol I literally just got internet 3 months ago. I'm very far out in the sticks but I'll have to go to Walmart and get one on black Friday. Hopefully til then these are my only issues I have (knock on wood) my next project after these is to figure out why code 71 keeps popping up now for egr. I've replaced the egr and vacuum guy next to it, so I'm gonna look at fsm today at work. I have an idea from a couple threads I've peaked at on here. I appreciate u being patient w me. This thing has alot of sentimental value to me, as my dad passed away in June and I sold his truck that was rotted out for something that I thought was much more reliable and something I've always wanted. Only to get scammed ungodly hard, even w a 2nd guy who was mechanic in army w me looking at it. So I'm highly upset w myself for getting in this situation but it's not going anywhere. I plan on getting this thing running like a top.

no worries bro, I hear you on the sentimental aspect. I grew up on the west coast and have fond memories of family road trips in the 94 cruiser, when my dad passed in 2013 I bought a 93 cruiser so I could always hop in it and go for a ride with him.

You'll get it all sorted out in due time, just got to slow down and deal with one problem till its fixed then move to the next. The EGR won't affect the performance of the car so you can ignore that code for now, deal with that after the more important issues.

Try to find a PDF viewing app for your phone that gives you the ability to navigate via bookmarks, you may have to spend a couple of dollars for it but it will help. Adobe Acrobat Reader comes to mind and should have this feature.

I'm actually gonna have a local print shop just print the whole thing out, depending may be cheaper than a laptop... maybe

You can, but the beauty of the PDF is that the bookmarks are hyperlinked to the page they correspond with. So you just click on it and it jumps to that page in the PDF, on a computer it makes navigating it lightning fast, faster than even the paper version.

Also partsourq.com should be your go to "part number finder"

Create a log in, then put your rigs vin in the search bar and hit search. THen hit the green +, this adds your vehicle to your profile and makes it easier in the future.

Ok thank u, never even heard of the site. Local shop wanted 270 plus tax for the entire thing jn color and put in a binder for me lol. I'd like a paper copy because my phone is a dick, if I try and zoom in on wrong spot it throws me 100 pages down

I've already done so many things to this repair wise that I've never done before, so definitely learning and I want this thing to last a long time so I plan to continue to learn so again if I have dumb questions along the way I do apologize. It is faster to ask and then learn how to fix it after at least finding the issue sometimes

Well let's hope no damage... it looks like it's just leaking but came out to work on her w other stuff and the ground was actually wet and everywhere down engine was to. Still have lots of coolant but **** I may of dodged a bullet. Waiting for hose to ship from that website on that link. So I can keep driving her

Lmao yep now I see what ur saying. Lemme see if I can find a 94, but it won't have all the new stuff u have added
93 will work just fine for you, there were no changes between 93-94. I've actually never seen a FSM with a 94 cover

Don't wait for joey to ship you his hose, you could be waiting 6 months. If it's leaking and you need it get around use any coolant hose you have available. Any 5/8" coolant hose will work, its a common mod to use a small section of a 5/8" Green Stripe hose by gates. 5/8" White Stripe will work too it's just lighter duty. You can get this at any autoparts store.

If that hose blows out when driving you will lose all your coolant and overheat the engine.

You can run the bypass as shown in OPTION 2 as it's easier than trying to get the hose on the pipe coming down from the heater valve.

Below is how the entire cooling syctem circulates. Everything in red is a soft pipe.

There's two bolts to take it to remove the hard pipe.
Both 12mm, one is on the very back of the intake manifold, one near the top facing the valve cover.
You'll need a ratcheting wrench, and a lot of patience.
The hose itself is hard to reach, and probably best reached through the wheel well with front wheel off

2 bolts make blue

I wasn't gonna drive it at all until it comes in... so he is just as slow as wits end w shipping?

He is a one man band AFAIK. It’s somewhat hit or miss, sometimes you will see your order right away, sometimes maybe a long way out. I would get the Gates green stripe hose and 2 clamps while you wait for AWE (if you ordered through him).

I got hose replaced, filled radiator up but it's currently below 32 where I live. W the amount of coolant that came out is it safe to fire it up. Also replaced thermostat

Any coolant mixture changes the freezing/boiling point of water, lowering/raising it based on the ratio of coolant to water.
