Homie, what did I say? I looked through it. Couldn't find it. I have it downloaded. What's frustrating is having to defend myself w u. I couldn't identify the hose, chastise me. Now that I have, I can figure it out. Like d
you've got to be kidding me

its even posted as a picture in the updates to my resource.. come on.. you have to defend yourself? dude what are you doing, the page shown below is TWO CLICKS AWAY from reading this post.

Dude I spent an hour on the phone with you solving issues. I thought that walking you through some of these things would give you insight in how to use the resource but it apparently hasn't.

Its probably best if you just take this thing to a mechanic or sell it. I'm out.

If you really have no access to a computer, which is why you told me you didn’t have the compiled fsm Then just go to a pawn shop and get one for $100 just so you can navigate the fsm.

But honestly it’s incredibly hard to believe that you don’t have the ability to access a computer somewhere in today’s age. It’s starting to feel like you just want us to solve all of your issues based on a photo and a lack luster explanation of events.
I HAVE IT DOWNLOADED ON MY PHONE. I DONT NEED TO PRINT IT OFF.

Again couldn't identify a hose. If u get this moody over something so simple then that's on u. Now that I know what it is I can fix it. Asking to identify a hose isn't a crime. Holy hell.

then asking what the pipe does and if you can drive without it.. well that must be really hard to figure out too huh? Certainly wouldn't be in my FSM... oh wait, it is...

This is why I'm over the questions, because IVE ALREADY ANSWERED THEM in the resource I MADE FOR THE COMMUNITY and it's all at your fingertips.

I'm done w this. I asked one question. Solved my tail light without ur help. Let it go. I work 3pm to 3am. Explain to me when I have time to get to a library during the wk? Exactly. U don't know my situation. Ur just here to give me bs for no reason all because as I explained it is hard to see the hose. Thought it was something else per ur fsm Bible. Boo hoo.

all you are doing is trying to smack the easy button, you want to arrive at the solution without putting the work in. ya ok you figured out your ground "on your own", just like you "figured out" that the pictures you texted me were for your sub harness in the rear quarter panel "on your own". I just happened to be on the phone with you to share in your moment of enlightenment. Get real dude. I can't tell if you are just unable to learn this stuff or if you are just truly wanting free mechanicing done for you.

Regardless its one thing to be a humble noob among veteran mechanics, it's a whole different thing to be an inept mechanic and condescending **** at the same time. You've landed on my blocked list.

Good. I wasn't on the phone w u when I solved the tail light issue. Plain and simple. U never suggested the solution. In fact ur the one who said to update the post w solution after the fact. Ya u explained alot and i appreciate ur time but right now. Ur kind of coming off as a tool when it's unnecessary. big deal I didn't know what all came stock on a cruiser. Big deal I ask for help identifying something I can barely see. because this is my first toyota and I'd rather ask experts then guess. Sue me. No one asked u to reach out. Nor comment on the post today. I joined this group to learn so I can fix this on my own. Were u perfect right off the bat, unlikely. It's a learning process. Can't b patient, don't offer help. Easy peezy

Kids these days. You know, son, you come off like a whiny little B. Your attitude sucks.

I'd agree Jon. Little lot of entitlement. I'm pretty selective when I give my help out and don't fish for nor require acknowledgment but it would've been nice had he at least dropped a "thanks @SmokingRocks for your help" or something in his post where he got his brake light working. It was an hour + of my time over the phone and despite his claims, I did point him right to the issue when I gave him those multi-meter tests to run on page 2 (in fact it was the 1st test!).

Ultimately I look at this situation like this:
Say you wanted to learn about the Normandy landings in WW2 and you had a history book detailing every bit of the war on your desk in front of you. You thumb through the pages of the book not really reading it, slamming it shut a second later assuming it can't help you. Instead, you just ask a historian to tell you about it, because it's faster and easier than reading about it yourself. The historian does help you learn for the first couple of times but also directs you back to the history book right in front of you saying that all the info you could ever want to know is in there and after you read it if you still have questions then feel free to ask.

Without even looking at it you flip the pages of the book again just to say you did, you return to the historian with more questions. They ask if you read the book, you say "yea it didn't help me". Well the historian knows it would've had you actually read it so they grow frustrated. They see you aren't actively trying to use the book to learn and grow tired of regurgitating what's in it for you just because you didn't want to read it.

If that's the way you go about it you'll never be an expert on it.

Again the fsm I created has a cheat sheet with all of the hoses shown in a diagram with pictures and part numbers. You are really making this hard on yourself
I don’t own a gas powered LC (yet 😁) but your enhanced FSM is the bomb. The color pictures are very helpful. Good work.

I’d like you to find, and repair my oil leak(s). I’ll call you and explain where I see oil.

Cool so I'm in the wrong as being a noob w these and not understanding everything. Not entitled what so ever. This is a forum to ask questions that have u stumped. I was stumped. I asked multiple ppl including one w a cruiser semi close to me and he wasn't sure himself until I got the answer on here because it's hard to see. I did say thank u for ur time @SmokingRocks. No.i didn't look at first couple.pages because I was looking at the rest of it trying to identity the hose. And from what I saw it wasn't shown anywhere else. Yes I should of actually looked at first 2 pages. All I read was bypass, and kept scrolling because I thought it was some kind of mod that I didn't want to deal with right now. My goal was to identity the hose. Like tunnel vision. My frustration came from the whole fsm thing. I have it on my phone. No I can't search but I can scroll through all the pages. No I truly don't have a computer, I have no need for one. Everything up to this I can achieve on my phone. Sorry if I offended anyone, but tunnel vision and panic level was sky high knowing how serious it was. As I've been driving it at least a wk like this

we're good dude, its ok to be a noob you just have to work on taking the advice and resources that are given to you.

Take a deep breath and slow down. If the hose hasnt blown yet its not likely to pop right now, just deal with it as soon as you can.

This is probably the best reason to get a pawn shop laptop for cheap. Because your phone isn't cutting the mustard, your phone might be just fine to look up a fuse block diagram but the level of work you need to put into your cruiser demands a laptop so you can properly navigate the FSM. Seriously go get one from a pawn shop, I'd bet you can be into it for less than $200, thats the same cost to buy the physical printed version of the FSM if you can find it. But IMO the digital version is better because I've added so much to it in the way of part numbers, diagrams etc. Justify the computer as the cost to buy a diagnostic tool that you'll use for years with this car.

If you come here asking questions that clearly show you're getting into the FSM and are just confused about something it says then you'll find that we are much more receptive to keep helping you along.

I wish I had a pawn shop near me lol I literally just got internet 3 months ago. I'm very far out in the sticks but I'll have to go to Walmart and get one on black Friday. Hopefully til then these are my only issues I have (knock on wood) my next project after these is to figure out why code 71 keeps popping up now for egr. I've replaced the egr and vacuum guy next to it, so I'm gonna look at fsm today at work. I have an idea from a couple threads I've peaked at on here. I appreciate u being patient w me. This thing has alot of sentimental value to me, as my dad passed away in June and I sold his truck that was rotted out for something that I thought was much more reliable and something I've always wanted. Only to get scammed ungodly hard, even w a 2nd guy who was mechanic in army w me looking at it. So I'm highly upset w myself for getting in this situation but it's not going anywhere. I plan on getting this thing running like a top.

I'm actually gonna have a local print shop just print the whole thing out, depending may be cheaper than a laptop... maybe
