Thanks - our daughter is over the moon excited..and she's motivating us properly. We've set Bailey up a special area and bought a gate to keep the other dog out of the way.

I think it's apprehension at this point. Worrying and pacing. Looking her over, then worrying some more.

Puppies. I can't wait to see them!

Wow....Amazing. Definitely post pictures. Or even video? I wish we could take a puppy but we are also currently full of rescues. Best of luck with the kennel.

Still, an ONSC puppy adoption program could seriously help out Sarca. It would be nice if all the pups could stay in the "family".

I am tempted to get a pup from ya. Although tank already sheds enough, and ee all know how golden like to leave balls of long hair laying around. But I still may have to grab one if these ONSC pups.

If I had a house by now I'd be all over getting another puppy.

Maybe in a bit over a year?

I'd be more than happy to share the love with a great group of guys. Planning on naming them to tell them apart (and it's fun) I was contemplating naming them all landcruiser related.. like Freeborn, Cygnus, etc...(I'm open to suggestions!)
BTW momma dog watches TVs intently.. if there are babies children or ANY kind of animal she gets excited.as a younger dog, she would search behind the TV when the animal ran offscreen .

I'm really getting excited now that the shock has worn off!

PS we call dibs on a male: D

Well it should be fairly obvious on birth if the puppies are an Australia shepherd mix..

Well, the Huz is out of town, the kid has friend spending the night and I'm pretty sure Bailey's in labor. She whines (which she never does) and keeps leaving the room.I'm no vet but I think this is it. Holy crap I'm nervous as hell!

Good luck, Charity!

Take lots of pics!!! (or it didn't happen) :p

Oh it's gonna happen..pics it not: )

I'm leaving her be, unless she comes to me. Once she cleans the pups and they feed...can I pick em up?

I remember when I was at my friends house and my lab was born...it was really cool!!

We did have to remind the mom dog that the puppies were hers as she growled a couple of times. Just something to watch for.

Check them as they come out to be sure they are breathing. Be sure she cleans the sac off their faces. If not breathing may need to wrap in a towel, cradle it in your hands and swing between your legs (think granny shot in basketball) to give a little boost.

Can't wait to see pics!

I've got gopro cam charged and ready. Some great advice from y'all ...now it's just natures course.

And then she comes back in the room with a ball. Sigh. Maybe it's not time.
