yeah, I know. cleaned that up a bit and now have 37Gb of space, should be enough, but when the screen with WinXP shows up it stops doing anything few second after.not enough disk space is definitely something you want to eliminate as a possible cause.
nope - I am Intel. I also use Win11 on this laptop.I have the same issue - I think its because I have an AMD architecture processor. Do you have that arch?
Thank you for the response. Yesterday out of curiousity I tried my 12.20.024 version of techstream again. It interfaced immediately no problem. However this time at the screen that verified the make/model/year I changed the year to 2006 and pressed next. It continued to the main screen and there was the AHC ECU as well as a whole lot more ECUs that didnt show up in the 2003 model year! Definitely a more complete look at the system. The AHC values were all live and the additional ECUs worked perfectly. Why this is happening I have no idea but if someone knows the answer I would like to hear. Also maybe others who are missing ECU information could benefit from my experience. Thx.Fyi I took a chance and bought this off Amazon Canada and it reads AHC pressures. Shipped from China and available even cheaper on Aliexpress but I wanted Amazon’s buyer protection while I was taking a chance on it. It took 15 min exploring the menus to get the pressures but 5 min once you know how. I can help should anybody else buy this thing.
EDIT: the Amazon link I’d just added went to a more expensive model so here’s the model description for a google search…this thing is only $219 CAD on Amazon.ca and only about 70% of that price on Aliexpress.

What year LX470 is your truck?Problem solved!
I spent a little time with it yesterday and started googling. One person on youtube has shown step by step and what I haven't been doing till now was turning off FIREWALL & NETWORK PROTECTION (DOMAIN/PRIVATE/PUBLIC) as well as VIRUS & THREAT PROTECTION ->REAL TIME/DEV DRIVE/ PROTECTION/.. AND ALL OTHERS. After turning off all of them the windows XP interrupted, but on the second try it asked me for an option START NORMALLY/SAFE MODE/SAFE MODE WITH COMMANDS... and I selected the safe mode. It did allow to fire the techstream and read all values incl. AHC. Techstream found the car itself; no need to select the model etc.
Cable I got: Amazon.com - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZ4C3TVM?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1
Now need to get the 30mm for the TBars.
2007What year LX470 is your truck?
My rig is a 2003. My son-in-law has the 2006 and has the same techstream version and same cable and had no problem. The Techstream recognizes my year but until i input year 2006 I was missing data. I also tried inputing 2004 and 2005 which produced the same available data as the 2003 year. Something about advancing the model year to 2006 enabled access to all my ECUs.2007
Interesting. Although having multiple Toyota/Lexus products in the past, this is my first interaction with techstream. Not sure how it works with older models but if making it different year works for you then I guess that’s the way to go .My rig is a 2003. My son-in-law has the 2006 and has the same techstream version and same cable and had no problem. The Techstream recognizes my year but until i input year 2006 I was missing data. Hello GetcoGetting Techstream up and running can be a bit of a pain. Hopefully this helps someone get started quickly.
Step 1: Purchase an OBD-II / Mini-VCI interface.
- I have sold out of my cables and supply chains are back in order, so no reason to purchase more. Anything like this will work: Mini-VCI cable on eBay
Step 2: Download Hypervisor
Step 3: Install Software You Just Downloaded
- Windows / Intel Mac [Download Virtualbox]
- Apple M1/2 Mac [Download UTM]
- Windows: Double-Click downloaded file
- MacOS:
- Intel Mac: Double-Click downloaded file, run installer
- M1/M2 Mac: Double-Click downloaded file, drag to Applications folder
Step 4: Download TechStream Image:
- Windows / Intel Mac: LINK
- M1/M2 Mac: LINK
Step 5: Double-Click downloaded file.
Connect & Enjoy.

Edit (04/08/18): I removed the more expensive cable, as I received a new Mini-VCI cable that works 100% at 1/4 the cost.
Edit (02/28/21): Updated links to new versions of Virtualbox & new link to cheap Mini-VCI cable
Edit (10/30/22): M1 Compatible workflow / updated virtualbox links
