My first 78 was almost identical. The top had a pickup sliding rear window tho. That truck is now a parts truck and I gave the top to Spud. He decided that it won't work with his rollbar and is now (or was) trying to give it away. Twas a sweet setup.

Just saw one of those for sale in the Seattle craigslist but I can't find the link anymore. The story was great...some 40 out of Alaska that was owned and operated by a woman logger with one leg. I can't remember why it was chopped but I think they look cool. Makes me want to chop my piggy.

"dad" had one...i was sooo pissed when he sold it without telling me. someone in grand junction got it...jeremiah might still know where it is. i've got most of the parts to build a new one. someday i'll get cracking

This picture is of a not so new design from aqualu. It has been extended 6 inches and they guys there said they were working on the bed. I should have asked what they plan to do for a top.

aqualu has been making this for awhile at least 2 years now
you just have to ask? they will make a custom lenght cab to your spec's if you like .
i asked about this 2 years ago and they had that extened 45 tub in stock then.
they are also making a 22 inch stretched on there 40 series bodies as well .i also heard rumors they are working on these custom lenghts for someone in the U.S. (no names mentioned).but who knows rumors are rumors.
