how many miles do you have on your 80

97 Collectors Edition with 132,000. I really need to drive it more.

so i am getting more serious about picking up an 80 series and i was wondering what kind of longevity some of you might be getting. I'ld like to know milage, what kind of action your LC sees and what your maintainence schedule is?
and also what kind of climate you are in. i don't anticipate changing my mind on an 80, (i just haven't found the right one close enough) so don't sugar coat it.
thanks
94 with 226,000, no oil burning or leakage

I will be buried in it.

I thought I was the only one that loved my car this much, dig a really big hole for 'us' as well!!

233,000+ miles, 3rd owner (2nd owner had it for a week!) Just replaced gearbox (noisy) and transfer box (I broke it), engine original.

regards

Dave

304,xxx miles on the original engine and transmission; uses a quart of oil every 1800- 2000 miles. Meticulously maintained for all of my 11 years of ownership.

Just purchased my 96 from the original owner with 219,xxx on it. Thanks to all of you for the great information on this site. I have already diagnosed the passenger seat won't go back problem and ordered parts. Also I have received the parts for the temp gauge mod. Now if I am only brave enough to actually try to do that mod myself!

My wife did laugh at me though as she was riding in the back (because the front seat is stuck forward) when I adjusted the rear view mirror and about 30 seconds later it fell off. Oh well. I am having fun!:)
