Roof collapsed and smashed his 40, barely hanging on, even though repairedMaybe he’d throw the shop in to sweeten the deal?

We had an old Case that would run for 2 hours then overheat, then we had a caterpillar D2 orchard tractor, loved that, then the local mechanic died, my father bought this new, a Ferrari compared to the othersI spent half my life before 16 on a Ford 4000.
Honest injun we have seen that thing at least 5 or 6 times. Still really cool when you do.
What make is that?Had to look that up, orchard tractors always look interesting, this is no exception

Yep, ours was a little newer than that, our seat sat lower, I could barely see over hood. The tracks gave you a much smoother ride than wheel tractors- that picture brings back thousands of hours of memoriesHad to look that up, orchard tractors always look interesting, this is no exception

Yep, going to mill trunk and use to remodel farm houseThat's a great memory to hold on to, part of your life's story. I hope you saved a piece of the tree, just to remember.
Funny thing; I snagged a dual wheel on my dad's Allis Chalmers on a bladed snowbank back in the day while in road gear, and my wasn't that exciting. When we first moved to farm, my dad rented neighbors Allis Chalmer , I was pulling a disc close to house, made a tight turn and ended up running into a black walnut tree, tractor just started climbing tree, lucky for me it stalled at a 45degree incline. I was min years old , scared me bad,, Dad came over, backed tractor off, put me on tractor and said, stay away from trees, and walked off. Just cut that tree down a few weeks ago, 60 years later. A little sad to take down, but it had some disease and was too close to house
