How important is this manifold bolt?

Put it all together, and tighten completely, without the bolt using Permatex copper gasket sealer between the manifolds. Then drop a slightly smaller diameter bolt all the way through and put a nut on it. Use washers as needed.

The nightmare continues...I just found out from CDan that the gasket between the intake and the carb is no longer available. Hopefully there is an aftermarket available.

Easy to make. All you need is some gasket making material from any auto store, an Xacto knife or single edge razor blade and the carb insulator to use as a marking template. 10 minutes tops to make. I make a lot of gaskets for my Cruiser. Also helps to get a set of gasket hole punches. Harbor Freight has a set for about $5.00.
