How do I know if I have remote central locking? (1 Viewer)

When I bought my LC from it's third owner a few weeks ago it only came with two plain keys, no remote key fob. How do I know if it ever had one?
To make matters worse the drivers door doesn't lock all of the doors when I turn the key so I have to go around to the passengers side which does. Actually half the time I'm just not locking the doors at all.

Look under the driver's seat and see if there's an alarm brain box sitting underneath.

You can probably change your alarm out for another aftermarket one for cheaper than trying to get the OEM working.

Thanks but I think he's speaking of remote locking. I'm sure I am. No control module under the seat on my 95.

For my 94 everything was under the dash.

Remote locking = car alarm. Just disable the alarm part and go with the keyless entry, or just get a keyless entry system. Probably cost $25 for a cheap one. Then you don't have to mess with the starter kill harness crap.

If the antenna for a remote lock is located under the drivers kick panel then I found it last night while cleaning the ground there. I can't actually see much under the seat to tell if anything is there or not. I'm gonna try again tomorrow.

But does the antenna mean I have it or is that just part of the stock wiring and has to be hooked up as an option?
