Couple pieces of leftover 2x4s, a bench vise, a dead blow, and a sheet of sheet metal from your local home improvement. Putting the time in to do something this simple will help you appreciate the work in the bigger things, and its something you can say you actually did.
Thanks needed this confirmation, didn't use 2x4s.
But hammer and vise did the job.
Now all bolts, holes are where they should be will need washer at the bottom since it got wider.

Next thing to figure out how to make screw holes in metal (I think self tapping screws?)

I hid both my amps in the same place. 👍

If the metal isn't thick enough to hold a screw securely in a tapped hole, you can also use nutserts or have a friend with a welder tack weld nuts to the sheet metal.

Rivnuts/nutserts. And if your only doing a few, you don’t need the tool…look it up on YouTube

oh wow, I'm happy I mentioned I'm looking at self driving screw.
This is absolutely mind blowing lol. Thanks

ooh I was thinking this but don't they get hot?
Ive never had a problem with them. They both have fans though. Mine is an LX, so the screen for the sub is still there and then the hole where the CD changer was, I made a screen to dress it up.

yes LX here as well, wasn't planning to leave sub box out.
I'll experiment with it.
