Well, once again a little job turned into a major overhaul. I noticed few weeks ago that I had a radiator leak of some sort. After the third time noticing the leak I was able to find the leak...the water pump had take a s**t! Buy this time is was a gusher and the Cruzier was un-driveable. I ordered a new water pump from the local Toyota Dealer and the part came in a few days. So I thought, a new water pump, a new gasket, some silicone, some radiator fliud and that would be it......WRONG! When I removed the hoses they were all jacked up. I think that the only thing making a seal on the hoses was the hugh pockets of calcium deposits. Both the radiator and heater hoses were pretty bad. I figured my $100 job just got more expensive.:crybaby: So, I proceeded to order a new thermostat, new radiator and heater hoses....what the heck, I might as well get the radiator rod & cleaned. Now $600 + into the project, I find out that Toyota no longer makes the top heater hose. The hose is pretty badly rusted and the tip of the hose is completely gone. Does anyone know where I can order on of these? Thanks Fellow Cruizers!

They dont make the d....... hose anymore!!! Thats crazy, their going to kill these things off part by part! Mike

when I had the I-6 I ordered a number of the metal hard line heater hoses..... Dan @ American related that some were no longer avaliable...so look to do some rigging when some 0f those hard lines fail. I think you can still buy the actual top and bottom radiator hoses though.

Yeah, I was only able to order 2 of the 3 that I needed....and that ran me $200+! B******S....long live the Cruizer!

Seems to me that the thing you are showing is the top coolant line for the oil cooler (the metal part anyway) Spectre has the metal ones and the hoses that complete ther circuit.

I think you are right...it get to the heater sooner or later. Thank man! :wrench:

Yeah, I was able to get those hoses...just not the one in the picture. Good looking out...thanks!:wrench:

Last time I tired I was able to get all the hoses (rubber) from the toyota dealer (probably cruiserdan). But I haven't tired getting the pipes (metal). But probably someone like cruiserparts.net or SOR can get used ones. You should also check with Cruiserdan. The pipes associated with the oil cooler show as still being available at 1sttoyotaparts.com.

All the hose are shown in diagrams in this thread: https://forum.ih8mud.com/60-series-wagons/132073-replacing-upper-lower-rad-hoses.html

I just ran a long rubber hose from my oil cooler to the pump inlet becuase the bosses on my valve cover wer trashed and it rattled around.
I have the hard hose in great shape if you want it. $10 plus the ride from Philly (18966)?

Cheers-
Stump

Is it part #15777B for this diagram? https://forum.ih8mud.com/60-series-wagons/132073-replacing-upper-lower-rad-hoses.html
If it is, $10 plus the ride from PA would be worth it. Please let me know if we are speaking of the same hose. Thanks Stump!:wrench:

What is wrong with your water pipe? Just rusty on the end? If it's not leaking, just clean it up, paint it and off you go...

But if you want one, and SOR is out, call Mark Algazy (see my sig)

I think I have a GOOD used one in the garage I will not ever use. I will check tomorrow.
